I for one am proud of my Napoletani brothers being productive and victorious for what might be the first time in recorded history .

It won't last long anyway, don't even worry about it.
They are not our brothers! They hate our guts and robbed us of titles.
And since we both were in serie B, they have been rising and we have been in a decline...

is "not paying wages" not making money ? he would not have started anyways and instead of giving him a third season to finaly get his head straight, we can make him regain confidence and form without paying him wages but still own him. the option to buy is only relevant if melo does decide to rather spend his future in turkey then with us (when we hopefully are more competitive) next season
it is, if you reduce the amount of squad players, but we increase it Pazienzas and the inability to get rid of our dead wood (Iaq, Amauri etc)

Melo's wage difference over Pazienzas would practically had no impact on our economy...

Because some people think a million euro is a trivial matter which explains why we've wasted so much money over the past four years. Bitching about marrota penny pinching and secco overpaying MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MINDS :andy2:

You, Sir, have a point.

As for me, I'm all for spending big if it's -really- worth it. Let's say Zidane was 25 years old today... You'd come at him with all you got, no matter what the cost. This player, you just go get, no questions asked. But as for the Aguero's and the Rossi's of this world, I'm all for the pennypinching, baby :) And I'm glad we opted for Vucinic for 15m in such a climate..

pepe has been useful. he scored few goals and made fee assists. what more do you expect from a squad player? motta was horrible, yeah but how could he have known he would forget how to play football altogether? and martinez barely played and when he did it was for 20 minutes (again del neri fault)

marotta is our savior. if he had the same budget and cl football that secco had we'd be a superpower again.

I think the loans in the first season for Pepe & Motta were fair enough, but to buy them outright now seems a bit ridiculous and wasteful. Unless it was part of the contract that they HAD to be bought after the loan was up.

I think his biggest blunder was buying Martinez for €12M. That's a lot of money for someone who only played moderately well in Catania and was nothing special.

Just read this:
Between Calciopoli and this summer, Juventus have spent €221.73 million on players according to Goal.com. Out of those players, only Antonio Nocerino, Cristian Molinaro, Paolo De Ceglie, Leonardo Bonucci, Milos Krasic, Marco Storari, Fabio Quagliarela, Simone Pepe, Alessandro Matri and Andrea Barzagli have been positive signings for Juventus. The money paid for them, plus the amounts paid for talented youngsters like Mario Kirev, adds up to €60.6 million.

That means €161.13 million of this money has been spent on players that have had little or no impact in the team and should have not been bought in the first place.

Here is a list of five players that were linked with Juventus and could have been signed. These players all together would cost €109 million and would have made the Juve squad one of the best in Europe
If you include Lichtsteiner, Vidal & Vucinic it goes up to €250M+ since 2006. :sergio:

So much for lack of funds....
