that was a good transfer but bringing in a good player is merely one of many steps it takes to build a great team ... take Secco, for instance, probably few people here expected Juve would fail to be competitive with the signings of Melo and Diego a couple of years ago.
You're making too much sense. I think you lost her.

Quite a few people could see that Juve weren't at all suited to the 4-3-1-2 they tried to play that season.

Not enough ball playing ability in midfield and a lack of good, attacking fullbacks to provide width.

LOL I love it. Theres always an excuse against Marotta whenever he brings us a good player, "Krasic wanted us", "Voeller pushed for the transfer to go to us"

Did we ever hear those excuses when Moggi signed players?

Don't think it's inter but when you consider his moves since last summer it looks like the guy has a hidden agenda. He made it too obvious when he tried to sign Floro Fucking Flores in order to raising quality.
Well afterall Floro Fucking Flores is a better player than Grossi fucking douchebag.

He bought one player for a good price who had one year left on his contract by the way. That doesn't mean we don't all have free reign to criticise him. He's shown so far that he is incapable of making any money of our own players if he can manage to sell them at all. It doesn't matter if he buys Rossi for 20M, Bastos for 10M and brings in a world class center back within the mercato, a transfer manager who can't sell is not a transfer manager. He's hasn't made up for the long long list of fuck ups he's made so far and until he does I'm calling for his head.

marotta is trying to sell the rubbish that he got stuck with from previous regimes (amauri, iaquinta, almiron, grygera, grosso, etc.) you can't force teams to take your players without selling them very low, and if he does that everyone complains at the price :sergio:

I think Marotta should be given a break. There is too much work to be done. The squad is in a pitiful state even though it may not be fully obvious until you list out the team. It's no coincidence that the club finished 7th twice in a row...

Current Squad
Strikers: Matri, Quag, ADP, Toni
Wide players: Krasic, Martinez, Pepe, Silvestre
Midfielders: Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Giandonato, Pazienza, Ekdal
Center backs: Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzaghli, Sorensen
Fullbacks: Lichsteiner, Ziegler, De Ceglie, Motta
Goal: Buffon, Manninger

Transfers In: Pirlo (Free), Vidal (12m), Pazi (Free), Lichsteiner (12m), Ziegler (Free). That's 24 first team players and 24m spent on 5 new players.

Transfers Out: Amauri, Iaquinta, Melo, Sissokho, Almiron, Tiago, Grygera, Grosso, Salihamidzic, Rinaudo, Bianco, Alcibiade, Storari. That's 13 players to go in total, 6 of whom have already left.

With these transfers out, the club will be cutting 17.6m (not counting unknown) in salaries that need not be paid.

Amauri - 4.2m
Iaquinta - 2.5m
Melo - 2.6m
Sissokho - 2.2m
Almiron - Xm
Tiago - Xm
Grosso - 1.5m
Grygera - 1.6m
Salihamidzic - 2m
Rinaudo - 1m
Bianco - Xm
Alcibiade - Xm
Storari - Xm

selling trash is one thing, but the inability to sell decent players like Diego, Sissoko, Giovinco and Melo, for a decent price, is totally a different thing...
thats pure incompetence, no doubt and it brings in perspective the other failed incidents and releases...
