This guy is a fkn joker. Why is it that his job is not even in jeopardy right now? This guy should be the first to go after what he did this year. Last year was the worst team we've ever had (not on paper, but on the field), but this year was not much better and he spent alot of money to fix it. We can now all see that getting rid of Diego for peanuts was now a mistake. Not keeping Giovinco was also a mistake. Not buying a big ass name was a mistake. I fear that at this pace, Juve will forever be a midcard team. What a shame.

If Van Gaal comes into the club, or any other Strongarm leader, Marotta won't be the one with the final sayso on signings and sales...Its one of the reasons I like the idea of having a foreign coach with a reputation for winning AND fierce discipline in the ranks.

I brought this up elsewhere, but hardly anyone was interested...do you blame marotta for ALL our signings and sales? or Delneri? Who chose martinez??? he is the best example of a dangerous and damaging disconnection between Team Manager and Transfer Manager...delneri is noted for his tactical intelligence, yet one of two things happened with Martinez:
1. Marotta simply signed him, made the decision, didnt even consult delneri to ask 'will he fit????'...just signed him and told delneri afterwards.
2. Marotta suggested him to delneri, who failed to see that a wide forward was not a traditional hard working, touchline hugging winger. In fact both of them failed to see that.

a manager like delneri, seems a decent guy, honourable, warm heart...the very last kinda man we need to lead a team lacking leadership and zeal. Can you see van gaal, saying one week that 'diego is part of my plans', then seeing diego sold a week later?? I cannot. Its an awful way to run a club, unless, the transfer manager is exztremely talented, well connected with huge $ to spend. Even then, it makes life much harder for the team manager.

my greatest concern with our setup is that marotta not only has ALL control over signings and sales, but perhaps doesn't even consult delneri on such matters...which is madness and a recipe for disaster.

You must admit there are some similarities between Moggi and Marotta.

No, ofcourse I'm not talking about their abilities :D I was thinking about their looking..... haircut and they both have glasses to be more accurate ;) :mark:
I disagree.Marotta looks like a clueless moron, while Luciano looks like a expert crook of the highest caliber.

Epic fail, everything he did failed, the coach, players he sold leaving and performing somewhere else, the mediocre players he got, finishing 7th.. Everything. He is the mastermind behind this whole thing, Del Neri didn't appoint himself as a coach, Motta and Pepe didn't sign themselves to Juventus and Giovinco and Trez didn't throw themselves out of this club.
