It'd be foolhardy to expect much more out of Marotta. His definition of world class is obviously different to the average persons. So I'd expect him to buy three decent players that fall well short of world class for millions more then they're worth and spend the rest on more mediocrity to replace all the worthless players we bought last mercato who we'll have lost money on.

I am far from convinced that marotta is definite about signing any of the loaned players other than Quagiarella, perhaps at a discount due to the injury, aquilani, ONLY with a discount on the 16m...and undoubtedly Sorenson, and any of the youngsters we loaned who have done well in the primavera. Matri is likely still a Maybe. Pepe...no chance .Motta...only signed if we are to use him as a makeweight in a transfer to bring someone else in from a club who want Motta...

still unsure about matri...he has a few games to roar louder for a permanent deal.

I might get a lot of heat from saying this, but in truth I didn't mind the players that marotta brought in this season. Quaq, aquilani, matri. Pepe and motta too. Judging by potential they'll make our squad strong. The problem I have though is the price that we paid for them.
