What are you expecting Marotta to do when we already have 3 strikers on high wages (Amauri-Iaq-DP), plus Quag and Toni on normal wages(~1.5mln). We cant sign a world class striker before getting rid off Amauri and/or Iaq. Floro Flores is cheap loan deal who can fill the gap until Toni's and Martinez' recovery.
Is it hard to see?.. If we had the money we would be signing 3-4 player for 15m€+ and not loan deal with option to buy..
Im not defending Marotta here.. Im saying it's not cuz he's blind (well he is) that we sign people like Toni.. The dude know's, say; Forlan is better than Toni, but he dosent have the money to go for players like him..

He allows Trez to leave while we sit like idiots and pay useless Amauri. If that’s not dumb then I don’t know what is. He could have paid David and sold Amauri for less which would have been better than retaining this sunk cost known as Amauri. At least the money we would’ve been paying Trez would equate to production.
Now he goes and signs every failed WOP striker available because he knows he fucked up during the summer and he’s using these tampon strikers to stop the bleeding mess known as our attack finishers.
Yea I agree that he’s working with what he has but he should allocate his funds properly. Acquiring Toni (even though it was no cost) and no possibly A.F.F. is not the proper solution to the bigger problem at hand. Dzeko was NEVER going to join Juve, so he needed to focus his efforts on either young talent or a big money striker – not shitty players to be used only to fill the line up.

It's obvious they don't have enough confidence in the youngsters who play as attackers. If they did, they would probably get a shot outside of a pointless Europa League match.
Which of our young strikers is as good as or even close to Floro Flores? Probably none of them. In case you didn't notice this isn't a headline signing. We aren't planning on keeping him beyond this season. He would come strictly as a back up because we have been unfortunate with injuries.
Floro Flores, while a backup player for Udinese, has still managed to score three times as many goals as Amauri.

What is the point of bringing an old model truck like Luca Toni and something i can't describe like Floroflroros? It's not like they are better than Iaquinta and Amauri? We are not in injury crisis unlike some believe. Iaquinta is out for two weeks and Amauri is already fit. There is Giannetti and Libertazzi who can do job of flofukoloress when chance is given. Marotta said we'll bring someone who can add quality. He is a shameless liar. He is wasting very limited budget for nothing and when we really need it, we can't afford players who can actually add much needed quality.
I do agree with you, if Marotta states that only a player that brings quality it shouldn't be Flores; better not to sign anyone than if you can't afford some true Quality but the Fans will have his head if he doesn't bring anyone in January though we know he can't bring in players like Bastos and to say the least Luis Fabiano; it's a double edge sword for Marotta.
