Honestly, I want us to do poorly so this person can leave Juve. Selling Diego is a massive mistake and this person's philosophy is not something that goes according to what I believe. Yes, it'd be painful to miss out on CL again, but it'd be better in the long run to get rid of incompetent nationalists like Marotta.

So let me get this straight, you want the team to do poorly, so poorly that there biggest chance of receiving additional monies to strengthen the squad flies out the window, and then somehow they are supposed to get another Director, who may or may not undo everything that was done this year, and start all over again with the same amount of funds?

Better coaches avoid Juventus because of a lack of money. Juventus is in an even worse position than before, and this time we won't have Del Piero, Trezeguet, Buffon, Nedved and Camoranesi to bail us out.

Or alternatively, we perform well, get into the CL, all of our players surprise us like Pepe and Motta. We benefit even more from owning our own stadium with bigger turnouts to matches. We can afford to spend bigger next summer and get players like Dzeko, bring back Giovinco etc, and continue to try and bring back glory to this club.

We got 11 players in without CL money, if we got 2 or 3 great players instead of an army of mediocrity, we could be back in the premier competition. $15 million from Agnelli + say 30 million in transfer money plus sells could bring you a couple of really good players, especially considering the market will be lower next year due to the new regulations and huge debt or gift teams like Real Madrid and Man City unable to buy players like they used to.

I'm talking finishing 6th or 5th, it's doable.

When I said poorly I meant 5th or 6th, not losing out on the Europa League. I already addressed the money situation above. The problem with your assumption, is that Pepe and Motta won't surprise anyone and are nothing but mediocre squad players. It's good that you have faith in Del Neri and Marotta, even if a bit unjustified, but I don't, so I look for the alternatives.

And hell, if Atletico Madrid who has sucked MUCH more than Juve can still attract fantastic players like Forlan and Aguero (I wish that was our striker partnership) then Juve can still attract world class players with the Europa League.

The problem is I don't think they'll do a good job, at least Marotta is only interested in signing the latest and not even hyped that much mediocre italian and that's not the way to move forward, so I'd rather fail than to barely reach CL, have Marotta smile and go "HEEEEY WE MADE IT!" and then go into another frustrating transfer market with fantastic players like Martinez and Quag coming in and endless excuses when we don't win the Scudetto.

juve, got rid of like 52 million of wages, only has 20 mil on the new players, and because of sales, we didnt spend to much in transfers


because of the loans, we can decide to not take the player at the end of the year, and lose like half of those 20 mil wages

what does this means ?
when we qualify for champions league, we have alot of room in the wage budged, alot of cash for new players that replace those we send back from loan.
and mostly, with champions league comming, we can attrack star players that demand champions league

Try the above the link especially in In-Out section and look at the total money spending and revenue from transfer. We approximately only spend 19m Euro net. That include the Martinez deal on 12m, don't forget we pay it on 3 or 4 times payable so the money we spend now can be less.. Also i read from official statement, Wolfsburg pay Diego 15.5m in advance (cash).. So that's what the mean of financial balance and Marotta also trim all the players with big wages like Poulsen, Tiago, Trez, and Camo, Zebina.. And several purchase is only on loan so if next season they fail but we still can get CL, we can make a better purchase

The bad things is we can't get rid Grosso and Brazzo and save their wage bill.. But Brazzo contract is expiring and the bigger problem should be Grosso.. It's all from mess made by Secco

i agree about the salary issue
and i also believe that marotta did a fine job there, trying to fix secco's mess.
But i still believe that he has sacrificed too much of the extra potential profit we could make from some very promising players, like criscito, giovinco and diego!
Those players ought to be kept and used as bargain chips at least, or even better be sold for better a price, after a less disastrous season.
Making a min profit now and lose a better profit in the future is still bad business imo and its not like those certain 3 couldnt earn the salaries on the field anyway.
Therefore i find as both a tactical and strategical mistake, an indirected loss of our capital that is not registered in numbers this year, but weakens our club in the long run, financially and prestige wise (esp for diego as he meant a lot being the only champion we have bought in our dark age, our last hope for building a competitive and attractive squad)

I could careless about Diego leaving, since he hadn't prove his worth just like most of the team last year. What I am really pissed about is how cheap we sold him and very laster in the mercato, which caused alot of confusion and he tried to react very quickly out of insecurity and ended up with a player Quag that is technically lesser player than Diego. Also another bad deal was signing Marinez for a big sum, which for less we could have got Candreva that 10x the player that Martinez is. Finally loaning Giovinco and replacing him with incompetent left wingers just makes completely no sense
