That's all that matters, none of this player nonsense. May 22nd 2011 17:00 CET, when we look at the table and see how the season went.

fair enough....but if you get offended by tasteless comments, then Jack, you're in the wrong forum :p
I don't get offended, I just chose to stop reading what that person has to say. Maybe with time I will end up reading one or two posters but that's just me, and maybe by that point I will lose interest and please my haters by leaving the forum.

Bonnucci+Krasic+Aquilani in any other team would be an amazing mercato, our problem is that we needed to replace 5 or 6 players whereas other top clubs never need to.

I'm not jumping to anything

I'm just calling it like I see it. And right now the way I see it is that he sold Diego, pursuing the likes of Pazzini, Quag and Di Natale. All while supposedly having a main goal of acquiring Dzeko and Cassano? How the hell is that feasible? Its BS thats what it is
IN : Storari, Motta, Bonucci, Pepe, Martinez, Aquilani, Pepe, Krasic, Lanzafame.

with more signings to come.

OUT : Chimenti, Tiago, Poulsen, Diego, Ekdal, Giovinco, Marrone, Immobile.

with more departures imminent.

can you honestly say that this has been a bad mercato season? most of the signings have been the top performers in Italy and Europe last season.

Basically most decent players would be an upgrade from last seasons squad.

Questionable at the most
what is that supposed to mean?

Basically most decent players would be an upgrade from last seasons squad.
our core first team is pretty good already, just need a coach who can teach them how the fuck to play together...Marotta has considerably boosted the wings and defense, something that we were crying out for at the end of last season.

y, are you some Wise old sage that is about to tell me that due to the number of years you have been on this earth it automatically gives you a greater interlect.???
What is interlect? Surely you meant intellect. In any case, it's pointless debating with a being who lacks both a sense of humour and a sense of sarcasm.

I rate the Mercato as a minor failure thus far. We have addressed our weaknesses somehow, but have sold our most creative force, failed to strengthen the LB position, still need a backup CB, and a quality SS.

5 more days to go. Can Marrota turn this around? I highly doubt it.

Storari, Bonucci and Pepe had excellent seasons in Italy.

Krasic was tremendous in Europe.

Motta and Aqui are good players, but had various issues.

Martinez and Lanza are the questionable ones IMO.
