What i don't understand is why Marotta kept Diego till the end of the summer and then sold him?

Why DN was from the 1st day praising him n now forsake him?

Why did't DN show his desire to offload Diego from the begining as he did with Seba?

Bonnucci+Krasic+Aquilani in any other team would be an amazing mercato, our problem is that we needed to replace 5 or 6 players whereas other top clubs never need to.

It seems me, you, JCK, Lion are several members who are not bashing about Marotta decision to sell Diego.. I won't judge Marotta just based on this Mercato.

Yes, Diego is a good player and he is our most talented player. He is source of creativity but i see our play is too central on him and it makes us slower. We can't do that in 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 formation. So I believe Marotta has plan and reason to sell him even on a discount. There is a reason CR didn't approve to buy Diego and Moggi said that bought Diego is inappropriate and not suit Serie A while Ferrara is forced to use Diego in his formation. Now i wish DN and Marotta really has clear mind and plan who they gonna buy and play in Juve. I don't want to rate and bash just because only one player because for me a team (Juve) is more important rather than having one talented player in the squad who is not suit the formation

And i also don't like how people already rate Martinez or even Lanza are useless based on several friendlies. Even Diego doesn't have bright pre-season last year but yet people keep cricitize Martinez every time he play. Or compare Lanza to Gio. People tend to forget about bad things of some players like people forget how bad Gio played when Diego is injured after 3-4 matches in beginning season and Gio has chance to play as first team like 2 times but he is disappointed and Ferrara rarely look at him again.

But people always remember when some players had bad performance when actually he is performs better in most of the part. Poulsen is for example last season. While he is doing a decent job(Momo and Melo keep made an error). People are keep saying he is just average and nothing special, and made an arguments like he only made simple pass and nothing.. Then when he made one bad performance, people then forget all the good he did and remember just the bad part he did. So i would say it's pretty biased

So i would better people are doesn't have high expectations like this beginning season but then we have amazing result (scudetto or else) rather than hype so much like last season about us being on par with Inter after high profile buying like Melo and Diego and have a worst result in Juve history

only reason i haven't said anything negative is because people don't realize this is a transitional year for us. we came off arugbaly our worst season ever (serie b aside)

we have several useless players that we can't get rid off because of stupidly high wages and long contracts. so for him to get loans like motta, Aquilani and pepe in this transition year is smart. they will help us reach back into cl and if they don't perform we are not stuck with expensive signings that drain the budget.

i will pass my final judgement come decmeber/jan when signings have started gelling and we see how the team is performing in league.

as for diego, let me remind you this is the same guy that flopped in portugal, 2 years and did well in germany (albeit a bit inconsistent) and a very average 1 season in seire a. not exactly breath taking is it? that's all i have to say for this matter.

We've been in a transitional period since 2006
true but 2008/2009 season we right on track to recovery. in fact we were well ahead of ourselves thanks to del piero and trezeguet in 07/08 season.

it was last season that we saw how bad it gets when board messed up us getting back on track fairly quick by appointing 2 bad coaches, paying 25 million for melo, signing grosso, and not signing actual good fullbacks

Word

We went into last season with high hopes and some big money paid out. All we got from the start of last season and this season was 3 coaches, numerous players under-performing, EL, and links with shitty players like Quag and Di Natale

Amongst other things of course

Agreed. Its crazy to think how we were going into last season with so much hope and how far that disastrous season set this team back.

I was thinking about silverware this time one year ago now we have to start all over just like in 07/08.
