Thats Del Neri's fault not Marotta's ;)

He's playing Martinez in the wrong posistion.
I thought we were going to get players capable of adapting to a 4-3-3 for a while. Pepe, Martínez, Lanzafame on the sides, but it's impossible when you look at the midfield.

Anyway, I think I recall Whore Hey saying his best position was on the RW?

Finally Serg and Jack sensible posts.

It was always going to happen people jumping on Marotta's back.

This year is a cleanup operation next transfer window will be a better oppurtunity to judge.
If Marotta kills Del Piero, should we still give him a chance?

I ask this because the general point of view is that you can't judge the individual decisions made by these people until they are seasoned veterans at the club. You have to give them a "chance."

Personally, I don't agree. I can judge individual transfers and other dealings and form an overall opinion on the situation based on the facts. It isn't jumping on his back, it's evaluating him thus far. And so far, I'm not impressed at all.

I'm sick of this bullshit. We already have FACTS to judge. We don't have to wait. I know that most love to live on hope and castigate those who have negative opinions on the current state of Juventus, but it is our freedom to have and express those opinions.

The camp that constantly claims that we cannot judge Marotta are the same that supported Secco and the other clowns as they drove the club off a cliff, so their credibility is limited.

You mean aswell as folk like yourself who constantly moan in the hope they are right about something to then tell everyone I told you so.

As a fan I support every decision the club makes rightly or wrongly, it does not mean I'm not pissed from time to time but keep repeating yourself gets boring after abit.

I'm with Andy on this.

So far we've brought Bonucci, Motta, Martinez, Pepe, Lanzafame, Storari

I've only liked Motta, Bonucci seems good, yet again he only played against shamrock.

Storari it's reasonable i suppose.

However when you're linked with the likes of Krasic, Elia etc for the entire transfer market it seems kinda awkward that you end up buying Martinez and Pepe of all players.

Not to mention the fees that has been paid.

And no, don't give me that Krasic is gonna come bullshit, even if he comes then there was really no point in buying Martinez for 12mln. Let alone Pepe (another brainless player, really?)

Why in hell would you buy an "unknown" player who supposedly at his age must be in the peak of his career yet he hasn't shown anything special?

All of this while being unable of getting rid of the deadwood. And pursuing a move for a striker who isn't going to come and was unrealistic since the very beginning of the rumour.

I'm not impressed either.

Don't criticize it, Motor. This year is clearly just getting rid of the deadweight (and adding more). Give the guy a chance (to add more crap players).

Even by the first of July I wasn't either impressed but I don't see myself whining nor do I consider myself less of a fan than those who are "concerned"

Look, I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong to criticize Marotta's moves.

Everyone is well within their opinion to do so.

But I ask you this.

How can we judge either way when the season hasn't even started yet?

And it really hasn't aside from the two matches with Shamrock.

We do not even know who will be coming in the next three weeks, and what the starting XI is even going to be at this point.

Everyone knew that there would be revolution of some point with this team, even if there were those that were saying there wasn't going to be.

But to fill all of these holes, with the limited budget given, is fairly unreasonable to expect, especially in the course of one season.

I guess I'm just more patient and optimistic than some people around here, but I don't resort to calling people "clowns" simply because I don't agree with them.

I mean, we weren't expecting miracles here in the first season, right, guys?

Right?

Especially when most of us came to the conclusion that it would take more than one season to get the ship righted.

Nobody is denying that.

But come on, we aren't adding any quality here. Perhaps Bonucci will turn out to be great but Pepe and Martinez? Really?

Any rational person will look at this as mediocre.

Because they were fans of him. They defended him.
If by defending something makes one a fan then you are the biggest Barcelona fan. But at the same time you say that is an insult to call you a Barcelona fan where you are just defending them. It is either double standards or hypocrisy, which one do you prefer?

OK, I misspoke. They defended him no matter what he did, and continued to say "give him time."

Whether they are fans of Secco or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that they were wrong, the doubters were right.

I don't think anyone at all defended Secco "no matter what".

And if it is a matter of seeing who is right and who is wrong then you chose the easy side, not every season comes a team like Inter or Barcelona and wins everything.

So if you think it's unlikely to happen why don't you mind him leaving? Right because he's the only scapegoat on the team with high wages.
As I wrote, I don't mind him leaving if we buy some quality in return. I don't care about his wages. I don't have anything against him we are both Danish, I would love for him to have succes in Turin.
When we bought him I thought it was an ok transfer, because he ruled the midfield in Sevilla.
But after a couple of years in Juve, I don't think he is good enough for a big club like us (yes. We are still a big club :)).
He is not young anymore and now we have a chance offloading him to Liverpool for a decent price

But I think your point about desperation is true and it would be stupid too sell him, just because we have to. After last season I would rather see Sissoko leave, but i'm still ready to give Melo a second chance.
