Lyon did want to sell. But Marotta always has to sign 'on our terms'. Even when that is clearly not in the club's best interests from a footballing perspective, which at the end of the day is the most important thing.
The footballing aspect is the most important, but up to a limit. For example we couldn't overspend, because further down the line the footballing side will suffer when we have to sell players. Finding a balance between competitiveness and spending is key.
As I said before, I don't think something around €8m-€10m is unreasonable for Lisandro.
