"We are very attentive to the market, without forgeyying that that this team has expressed great qualities and it's not easy to improve it. It's a question of opportunities, and the club must give the best to the coach with whon there is a daily dialogue".

Is he setting us up for disappointment?

I'm not sure where I heard this but there was this rumor that Capello was gonna take Marotta's job after he's done with England. Any truth to that?

not true, i calculated the exact fees of the % of the players contracts we have forfeit for Bonucci (about 6-7mil) and the 15.5mil cash.
Added that and made the total fee Marotta paid for him (21.5-22.5 mil)
In the first months it was unclear if the percentage of the players we lost for Bonucci were 50% or 100% and the market value of the players we lost, was greatly underrated by our forumers. But in the coming months the situation got clear and i calculated the precise fee.

Point is, that 20+ mil for an unproven player like Bonucci was a huge mistake. Our board knew the exact fees we sacrificed for him and above Marotta.
It was his call, his mistake and thats why he is so hesitant to buy or even load other quality CB, because that way he would have to sell Bonucci and no one would ever pay, not even the half of what he gave, thus exposing his negotiation skills greatly.
Thats why he also preferred to loan out Martinez rather than selling him.
It was to admit his mistakes, he is turning into a new Secco and those mistakes add up.
The Grosso, Motta mistakes can be easily forgotten, but 15-25mil cant.

We hired him to avoid the 25 mil mistakes of the past (Amauri, Diego, Melo) not making new ones...
Marotta prolly hopes that by keeping him, we will be forced to field him, give more hopes and who knows, he might have a Pepe explosion.
Exactly the opposite strategy thats its valid for other layers who are not given that kind of chances...
See, you did it again.

See, you did it again.
what do you mean? you still have difficulties to understand the 15.5mil plus player contracts part?
Because there was a misconception that we paid less, since the 15.5mil was referring to his total value, but as i explained in great deal, those value were not representing the transfer value of the players involved and were significantly cut to sweeten the Bonucci deal for all clubs involved.

The actual transfer value of those players was shown in the direct deals.
And its exactly from that price cut where we lost the extra 5 mil, besides the 15.5mil.
Thats exactly what most ppl fail to understand and this is why this deal was more of an investment than the 15.5, which still is quite a lot for such a limited player...
The enthusiasm at the begging dismissed my criticism on the deal, but when we realized that the new shiny toy is not as good, to justify the fortune paid for it, heads must roll.
This is the reason Marotta is stalling time...

PS: a similar thing happened with the Mutu-Bojinov deal, where at the beginning and the probability of keeping Bojinov the deal seemed ok, but in the very end my criticism was proved once again on spot, as we lost both contracts for a ridiculous price and forced to buy Iaq as well...

Please for once just admit you're wrong. It won't even be embarassing considering how much you've already let your ego embarass yourself.

I consider the contracts of our players, even a percentage of them, our capital.
Wasting them by giving them away for very cheap or free prices, i consider it as a loss of capital.
Doing that to conclude a deal for a specific player, i consider it, as added loss, that should be totaled to the amount we already gave away for him.
Thats my view on the matter, no matter the director, team, or player involved and it wont change.

However in this particular deal, the loose and elusive nature of a multiclub deal and percentages of players, being loaned and co owned for years, makes it really complicated and open to different interpretations.

At any case though, since day zero, i considered the total amount of sacrifices made to conclude the Bonucci deal, esp the inclusion of Criscito, in that, a grand mistake. I believe that history has undeniably proved me right on that, so before i admit any mistake, many more should do that before.
Starting from Marotta.

We sacrificed lots of cash and player contracts to see this deal happen, Bonucci never delivered the delusional hopes of the nationalists and we have yet to find a permanent solution to our LB issue.
The presence of Criscito would save us from all these and saving the extra cash, we could raise enough to buy a top defender...

PS:
as for the forums, i simply dont care, it has been proved time and time again that my haters would do anything to defame me and this attitude only proves my point... they are the ones who constantly ridiculate themselves in a desperate effort to prove me wrong that is keep failing, it is natural to insist on that, since they have already lost at the rest of the 99% of the cases...
