don't be fooled by de celgie's performance in last game. he is a mediocre player and a huge liabilty in defense. just look at his earlier pefromacnes in the season and in last seasons.

the defensive record is really thanks of barzalgi, chiellini and buffon being there to make up for bonucci's incompetence. we have also been lucky that opponents have wasted a lot of chances thanks to being incompetent themselves when bonnuci makes an error

I still no qualms with the defense for this season. I'd wait till summer to find the proper LB we need, an "actual LB"...as in, not one that "can play left back" as well.

I see no reason to worry yet. Licht-Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini works just fine.

Bonucci has Barz-Chiellini on both sides of him and Buffon behind. I nice protective bubble.

Is it so easy to find a topclass LB in January or something? Our defense is solid right now for the league, wouldn't your rather wait till summer to find the "right" LB instead of rushing into a "quick fix" this winter?

i would, but we have been waiting for 7 years and we are keep bringing new SSs and CMs and no LBs...
If we can bring a Matri in the transfer window, we can bring a decent LB as well, or at least a decent CB as one of the counteless who moved around, to replace the terrible Bonucci...

Defenders are always more expensive though because they are harder to replace. Just use our case as the example.

To buy a top class CB is not going to be cheap by any means. What I meant to say, actually, just didn't really think it through well was trying to buy a top class defender in January will be more expensive as teams are less likely to sell them unless a really lucrative offer is made.
