Yeah, that always gave me a big laugh. Along with the undereducated people who go to the store with a 100 Euro check in hand, cash it, buy 50 Euros worth of groceries, and then say they bought -50 Euros worth of groceries.

We like special people here.

Breaking News: Marotta spotted in the streets of downtown Cairo scouting for talent!

Nile TV reports that Giuseppe Marotta, Sporting Director for Juventus FC of Italy, was spotted eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in Heliopolis Square, while watching a game of street footy between The Red Zawiya and Tahrir Square FC. Marotta was very impressed with the skills on display by Fathi Khalil, a burgeoning young talent of 12, of Tahrir Square FC. Apparently he has ordered Fabio Paratici to try and tie up a deal for the young talent. It's believed the deal is a loan with an option to buy for 47 Egyptian Pounds + 2 falafel sandwiches to the Tahrir Square FC club president.

Marotta is quoted as saying "I have never seen a 12 year old do such things with a pepsi bottle cap. This kid is extremely talented and of great interest to us."

More than 80 million is a lot of money and we still haven't stopped spending. What was urgent and what we needed this summer was fullbacks and a left winger. The rest of the money should have been used to raise the quality. Could have tried getting someone like Mata, instead we settled and filled the team up with guys like Quag, Pepe, Giaccherini, Estigri and Elia. Thing is, we actually made some bargains as well and got Licht, Pirlo, Ziegler and Vidal for around 20 million. Just right there we had already solved our major concerns. What the hell happened to the rest of the 60+ million? We could have gotten 3 quality players to raise the overall quality of the team with those money. Instead and as usual the money went spent on quantity which is sad cuz we're only competing in the Serie A. Would have been an excellent opportunity to go for less players when there is fewer games.

If he didn't buy Matri and Quag's loan buyout who would play up front? WOuldn't that be a major concern? I'd say this team needed more than fullbacks and a winger

This team needed a good RB (we got that), a good LB (we didn't get that), a good LW(we didn't get that), a good CB (we didn't get that) and a good SS/CF(we got that, although we could have done better).

With the 80(around 90m with Elia) million we've spent we could have easily opted for more quality instead of quantity. As I said, Licht, Pirlo, Vidal, Pazienza and Ziegler all came for a total sum of 20 million. Already there we got ourselves a new RB, and two new CM's. With the 60+ that is left we could have gone for quality.

Vucinic(15m) - Rossi(25m)

Mata(25m) - Pirlo - Vidal - Krasic

Ziegler - Chiellini - Alves - Licht

Buffon

See how much better this team is. Same money but we gained 2 quality players. But, instead, we didn't do that and we went for quantity again turning ourselves to the new Genoa with hundreds of new players arriving.

Exactly Mata would have come to NON CL team instead of a bigger club in a better league if only Juve gave him the money!!!

Highly unlikely, considering how unaffected your owners are by your current pathetic condition. I dont think any of your management is aiming/hoping for a 3rd place spot. EL and marotta's job looks safe.
pathetic condition? :howler: you werent even born the last time pool won the league, and chances they ll never win it again, now thats a punch you in the face real pathetic condition

Yes I do believe Mata could have been an option back when his clause was at 25m and nobody spent that amount of money on him.

Matri isn't a backup and I could live without Quag on our bench if it meant having two class players in our team.

What do you want us to do? Just give up and die? Stop with the excuses, you like burning 80 million and see us having a squad that maybe isn't even enough to qualify for the Champions League.
