Breaking News: Marotta spotted in the streets of downtown Cairo scouting for talent!

Nile TV reports that Giuseppe Marotta, Sporting Director for Juventus FC of Italy, was spotted eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in Heliopolis Square, while watching a game of street footy between The Red Zawiya and Tahrir Square FC. Marotta was very impressed with the skills on display by Fathi Khalil, a burgeoning young talent of 12, of Tahrir Square FC. Apparently he has ordered Fabio Paratici to try and tie up a deal for the young talent. More than 80 million is a lot of money and we still haven't stopped spending. What was urgent and what we needed this summer was fullbacks and a left winger. The rest of the money should have been used to raise the quality. Could have tried getting someone like Mata, instead we settled and filled the team up with guys like Quag, Pepe, Giaccherini, Estigri and Elia. Thing is, we actually made some bargains as well and got Licht, Pirlo, Ziegler and Vidal for around 20 million. Just right there we had already solved our major concerns. What the hell happened to the rest of the 60+ million? We could have gotten 3 quality players to raise the overall quality of the team with those money. Instead and as usual the money went spent on quantity which is sad cuz we're only competing in the Serie A. Would have been an excellent opportunity to go for less players when there is fewer games.

Yes I do believe Mata could have been an option back when his clause was at 25m and nobody spent that amount of money on him.

Matri isn't a backup and I could live without Quag on our bench if it meant having two class players in our team.

What do you want us to do? Just give up and die? Stop with the excuses, you like burning 80 million and see us having a squad that maybe isn't even enough to qualify for the Champions League.
