but what makes you any more confident that paizon (on 1m a year) will be used any differently? what in our recent history suggests that we are going to treat him differently than any other young player on our books and give him a starting slot?
Juventus have one of the best youth teams in football,we produce young players that are the envy of clubs all over Italy, how many actually make it at Juventus? how many are currently squad players at mid level clubs all over Italy, how many are bitter that their big chance never came?
i was watching the Parma game the other day and nearly choked when i seen 3 of our "wonder kids", players that our future were supposed to be built on,Bojinov,Palladno and Giovinco all plying their trade for a struggling Parma team that also included Amauri.
i don't,i think Pirlo is a big mistake. i just think is is typically fucking hypocritical that we are blasting the board for throwing 12m at Pirlo while blasting the board for NOT throwing 1m a year and 6m on a transfer for a player with NO first team experience
And I highly doubt that if the club was so stern on trying to sign a 17 year old I highly doubt that they would have treated him the same has Giovinco. History shows us, that the experience they employ does not work at all for this club. Giovinco, however as misused as history shows us, did more for this club than our Grosso's and Cannavaro Part 2...

actuallu Dusan it was YOU who brought wages into the equation when you blasted us for "12 million on Pirlo for 2-3 years" while i am saying that a 17 year old boy being signed, regardless of how talented he is,given that we have a policy of NOT using young players and expecting him to be a first team regular ir ludicrous
I mentioned wages as a parameter how stupid was to sign Pirlo but all of the sudden I see Piazon's 'price' being over 10mln as people are counting full length of contract. Later on some added taxes in which I reply with even more ridiculous numbers Pirlo would get. They say he's too young and I just mention Pato's case. They say Piazon is inexperienced and I say Pato had only 9 matches. They say Piazon is too expensive and requires too big wages while I mention how Pato's price was 16mln higher and how his wages are triple of sum mentioned we'd 'give' for Piazon. It just makes no sense.
Saying how we shouldn't sign him because our policy is not to use young players is just silly, because that policy we have is fucking retarded.

It isn't hypocritical because they are two completely different things. Being hypocritical would be like against signing Luca Toni because he is old and washed up but be for signing Inzaghi. That would be hypocritical.
This case, however is just a difference of opinion on how this team should build for the future. And you talk about nincompoopery ...

So we have old, washed-up Pirlo who's not showing 30% of his capacity over the past two years and Piazon who's a big potential and people would take Pirlo because he has experience. That's the bottom line.

Weird comeback I gotta say.
I was pointing out facts while you mention Giovinco. I never said he was a WC player but a player we could have used.
He is running out of replys I think in all honesty which is why he threw Giovinco into the mix. Nothing like putting words in the mouths of someone you are debating...

And yes that is the bottom line because as the last few years will show underneath that line is a massive hole of experienced players that give absolutely no experience to this team at all. It is a great business model.
You can't fail if you expect failure, because that would mean you were right all along.

yes YOu used the fugure of 12m to highlight how retarded it is to sign Pirlo
i used the 10m figure (1m a year and 6m to sign) to highlight how retarded it is to sign a youth player when (as you say) our policy on youth development is fucking retarded
no you said that Pato was considered a world class player in the eyes of some on this forum, but these same folk were claiming Giovinco is a world beater.
I like this move a lot. Helped Sampdoria secure a CL spot. Good eye for talent, and seems to have a good idea of how to get certain players to fit into an d believe in a system. Prudent with his budgets, good eye for young players.
This is the type of guy they've needed for a long time.

They way you say it mocks people though. There really is no need for it, he and I are just stating what we think. I think its idiocy to sign Pirlo and anyone that age for that cost we would incur. It makes more sense to me to start invest in SOME youth players...you guys seem to think I want to employ a team full of youngsters. We hvae players edging towards if not in their prime and its the perfect time to get some young exciting talents into the mix.
Again, what is the point of scouting and a scouting network if we never take advantage of the 1 Pato we find out of 100 Robinhos? Sooner or later we need to make the right gamble and gambling on a 30+ year old Pirlo is insane.
i got this off the first page so I wouldn't judge him harshly over it, but I would like to look back through the pages and find out who the Marrota fans where.

Everything was fine until somebody mentioned freakin' taxes.
And looking at the past experience of ours, would he be expensive considering Martinez's purchase? Is 10mln overall too much if limited Pepe would be over 12? If Bonucci from Bari was 15mln without wages?
Based on what are we discussing his price that is apparently too high? He has no experience and he's too young? There are many examples that show otherwise and Pato was one. So how on the Earth are our transfers tolerated but not getting a good potential for 6mln is too much? How can mediocre player come here with higher value and higher wages if we're so "careful"? Counting Matri and his wages, that transfer would cost us more than 25mln euros, is he worth it? Of course not.
