I wouldn't as I don't do it in such occasions. I was hoping for no loans this time too.

I blast for stupid transfers like Grosso, Martinez, Pepe etc. And for getting Marotta, chasing Pirlo.
hey me too but blasting Marotta for going for Pirlo, who will offer 2-3 years then nothing then blasting him for not paying over the odds for a young player whop, even if he DOES make it will not be a first team player for another 3-4 years is so incredibly stupid it makes me want to cry out of pity

Why in 3-4 years? Pato started playing immediately at the same age.
whahay lets pin all our hopes on an unproven, overpriced 17 year old that has only ever been seen at under17 level and isn't even considered ready to start by his current club

Exactly. Signing Piazon now would have been good and by the time he would have started playing anyways for us he would have been 18 pushing 19...nothing wrong with that. No one said he would be a sure starters right away and play every games, that would be naive to think it but he could easily start integrating into our team.

Pirlo will offer 2-3 years of mediocrity as we're not in 2005 any more. And not just that, but that transfer will require ~12mln euros for wages and more than 20 when you count taxes.

I think it's sweet how some mention Pizano's price of 10mln. All of the sudden we're not watching transfer fee but wages too. Not just that, but some count taxes too.

Ok, let's then be smart and spend 17mln on Matri and pay 2-3mln for him, or 6 with taxes. Everyone seem to be ok with Pirlo, but they don't know he'll take 20mln euros, yeah, with taxes. Looking that way at it, it looks more than retarded. Let's not even mention Martinez and his 12mln again.

there is no such thing as a garauntee but signing a youngster if you are....lets say,Arsenal and have a manager who is keen to introduce younsters into the first team then by all means go ahead
but if you are Juventus, who have a long policy of signing youngsters and NEVER giving them a chance, loaning them out all over the place and then using them in part exchange deals for players who are established,is it truly a wise decision to splash out a garaunteed 10m on a player that in all probablility will never get the chance to shine for us?
That Juventus was pre-2006, wasn't it? Remember what Marrotta said at the start of the season? Juve were aiming at lowering the age of the squad and the wage bill. That's what he claimed he was brought in for, wasn't it? The fact that he ended up getting rid of Giovinco and Diego and signing Toni is another matter, but if this Juventus is claiming it wants to base it's future on youth, which it does claim, then a deal like this must be signed, sealed and delivered at all costs. It's one thing to suggest that Piazons talent is in question and 10m is a gamble, but wouldn't you rather take that than have the same resources spent in paying salaries of washed up players, who don't have the endurance levels or the enthusiasm this team is in dire need of. Marrotta's just being penny wise pound foolish here - and like most of us can see, his work speaks for itself.

18? They are not allowed to go aboard before they turn 18.

He was also playing for Brazil U20... a couple of matches.
Ok, that's what I thought too. I know about their age rule which is why I said he wouldn't even be here until he was 18 possibly pushing 19.

10m dollars is certainly not pining all our hopes on a 17 year old.
no but you all seem to think he will walk into the Juventus team right away when he isn't even a starter for his current club team. at what point is it wise to bring in somebody else just in case this "wunderkind" doesn't work out?

actuallu Dusan it was YOU who brought wages into the equation when you blasted us for "12 million on Pirlo for 2-3 years" while i am saying that a 17 year old boy being signed, regardless of how talented he is,given that we have a policy of NOT using young players and expecting him to be a first team regular ir ludicrous

so who will play next season? or the season after?
how old is Giovinco? weren't people on here salivating that he would become a top class star? and yet here we are and he is now 24 and we are still waiting for him to become a Juventus first team player

I also think it's funny. It's funny that Pato was a proven champion after 9 matches when Milan got him for 22mln euros.
 the same people who say atht Giovinco was world class after a few games for Italy youths

Gio is good, I think we all know that and I think we can all say comfortably that he was grossly misused by this club. Not sure why it's so difficult to see that Gio was always a pretty good player when he played for us.

but what makes you any more confident that paizon (on 1m a year) will be used any differently? what in our recent history suggests that we are going to treat him differently than any other young player on our books and give him a starting slot?
