Here we go. :D

Good morning, dear. :coffee:

---

Rugani. Rumors are including him in the Napoli deal to lower the price. I want to keep Rugani.
we can sell him with a insane buyback clause. he's the 5th option now ffs..he has no chance to become a starter this year. if we went for an old cb instead of benatia it would made a different story.

We can also just pay the clause, and they wont be able to get a similar quality player, let alone 3 additional ones for whom they'd get milked by other clubs
I agree. If they don't accept Zaza and Pereyra plus cash in exchange for Higuain, tell them to have a nice day and wire that first installment of 45 million and wish them the best.

Why would Napoli accept a buyback clause on the best player that they would be receiving in the deal, who is also attached to a team friendly contract for the next several years?

I would be lying if i say i am not excited to see Higuain in Juventus. I always thought Madrid made a mistake by selling him instead of Benzema. But for what reason we are willing to pay this abominable fee? Serie A is already in bag. Was it lack of goals that eliminated us from CL? It was overall performance of team which was no better than St Pauli's performance against Bayern. With Morata and Cuadrado gone and Pogba likely leaving, our overall performance will suck even more as we lose three of our very a few players who can make difference.

napoli would have been more than willing to negotiate for their 29 years old striker whom openly declared his desire to leave and having fights with their president. getting a player by activating the release clause is not an achievement. release clauses are not supposed to be paid, they are mostly symbolic. marotta is there to negotiate, if he doesn't negotiate, there is no reason for him to get paid millions by the club. driver of team bus can buy higuain too if we are to pay release clause.

This is an economical sacrifice never seen in history of Juventus. He is twice more expensive than our most expensive signing. And did we have better players than Higuain in Juventus before? Many. If you check the list of most expensive transfers in history, almost all of them was investments with resale value. How are we going to get an amount anywhere close to what are we paying when/if it is needed?

Some might say: ''Who cares about money, just enjoy the show.'' But i know for a fact, this ''sacrifice'' will reduce the quality of our signing for years to come and we will miss some of more interesting opportunities like Gabriel Jesus.

Last but not least, reports say he is going to earn 7.5 million € per year. What happened to the salary cap strictly kept by club for many years. You know what happens when bypass it once. Many others will want same wage when signing new contracts and if they don't get it, they will cause problems in team. This will have an negative impact on club's finance for many years to come.
Just amazing, I actually agree with you.

Not surprising. I got roasted in the Higuain thread for stating a couple of weeks ago that he could be the key player in any player exchanges for Higuain
He is a hard one to let go of, though. Man the potential that kid has for a defender.

As a club, especially the last 5 seasons, that has been notorious for rock solid impenetrable defenses, losing Rugani is hard to swallow even if the theory of his inclusion in this deal holds water.

We are losing Buffon soon and half our defense needs to be replace in a couple years.

I understand that, but who else on our roster would they want that brings the potential and youth that Rugani does?

If the tables were turned, wouldn't we be asking for the same, and be well within our rights to do so?

If it were up to me, I would tell them Zaza, Pereyra, and cash or just accept the installments. Napoli doesn't have to take those players and could just take the money, but either way we are still in a good position

Same here. They lose a striker, we can offer them a decent one in return. Pereyra is only 25 so is young still not to mention Sturaro. Stefano and Pogba in one season would make the rest of our mercato a bit tricky. One one side you have a 30m & 18m duo and on the other hand cash...I think ADL would be silly not to take both.

Benatia and Rugani replace Barzagli and Chiellini when injuries, suspensions or rest is needed. Retirement for Barzagli isn't far away too.

Considering the amount of blabbering about Higuain's age, i wonder if they think Barzagli needs a cane to get to a challenge

Caceres because he has been here for 3 years and knows the systems and tactics Allegri wants. Same reason Dybala didn't start. Are you going to use the same argument about Dybala being benched? :D

Yeah cool story. Or we could simply carry on the way we are for another 10-15years winning just Serie A or actually thinking you know what Fuck it!! Our fans deserve this and let's go for it, spank a bit of cash and let's really go for this one. We've gone years penny pinching and missing out on players when other clubs strengthen theirs, so nothing new there. Gigi deserves this before his career ends.
