Not sure what all the fuzz is about here.
We got Zaza, because
1) we need a 3rd striker anyway
2) valueing him 18 mil, and later use him in the player exchange with Berardi to lower the price...by 18 mil.
3) we expected we would be able to sell llorente
But what happens now
1) Llorente has been linked with several teams, yet the same story comes out about his wages
2) No @Klin , Marotta isnt going to come out saying we failed the loan deal each time. I wonder if he's gonna respond to Llorente questions when he actually gets one, wich didnt happen iirc ?
3) so we basically got a 4.5mil wage striker, that nobody can afford on loan. And a 18mil worth striker on a little wages who's inferior to llorente.
4) That is 1 striker too much.
5) We decide to loan the striker we actually can loan, wich is zaza, while this was not the plan. It became then plan when we couldnt offload LLorente.
Is this a problem
1) Nah, Llorente or zaza as backup ? i'll probably pick Llorente as i'm not a fan of zaza, altho Nando is not worth his wages currently.
2) The loan is 2 mil + 16 mil buyout. aa 18 mil, our valuation for zaza.
3) If they dont take the option, we'll get Berardi and give zaza to lower the fee by 18 mil
4) if they take the option, we got 18 mil in our hand, so we can get Berardi for the full price.
Conclusion : We got Zaza as backup. We failed to sell Nando. Its probably wages. We loan Zaza cause we we got one striker too much and he's the one we actually can loan.
You can now go on saying how Marotta failed to convince some team to take over his 4.5 mil wages and all. But thats about the only thing worth discussing.
