So you guys want the players to stay against their will?! be prepared for shitty performance. i don't want players with their minds are somewhere else. get over it people. Vidal wanted to go and we are bigger than anyone so we set him free. good luck for both of us and him.

pretty sure messi and ronaldo wanted to go to.

not going to happen. but juventus has no backspine. from calciopoli, to conte saga, to tevez and vidal. too many times it has been proven.

Nah I like that policy of ours. It allows us to stand out amongst all the usual asshole clubs. I like that we understood Tevez's desires for example. Much better to let him and Vidal go than have them hang around after requesting a transfer.

Man maybe I'm too soft and lefty for supporting a top team :D
I like the policy too. It shows our team gives a shit about the players and their desires, and means players like Tevez and Vidal will only ever have good things to say about our club, its management, and so on. We're a club that treats our players well, and helps them achieve their goals.

And when you combine this with results in the CL, if we can keep getting to QFs or better each year, with the occasional Semi and Final, well, we will be a very attractive destination for young talented players, and as time passes will become that final destination type of club again. We're close, but not quite there.

'tis the same reason I don't have a huge problem with the buyback clause in Morata's contract. We're still growing back to the top, we'll get more money than we paid for him to replace him if he were to leave, which will help us get that replacement plus improve our financials, and slowly but surely we'll have the economic power again to purchase star players outright.

Our management is thinking long-term, which I like.

Who said they would play against their will? Look at what Suns said. We just let them go whenever they want wherever, it's fucking ridiculous.

So players just sign here and then leave after 2 years so they can say 'nice' things... what is this, kindergarten?

You sound like Del Neri, 'he ran a lot and helped his friends'

Seriously these threads are fucking boring now. Same arguments and counter arguments over and over and over...shit, it's not even mildly entertaining like the crazy (and dumb) Matri/Quags.

Both sides have valid points. No-one knows SHIT. We don't know the exact reasons why we sold him, and probably never will.

It really isn't that hard to understand.we are a transit destination right now. This is not like the 90s/early 00s.
This is not Del Neri speech, this is our reality right now.
However, i don't contradict myself like certain posters claiming we are Madrid/Barça level and accuse others of having a 'pussy mentality' one moment and saying the exact same things like I do the other moment especially when Marotta needs to be exempt from any sort of criticism.

It's very stupid comparing Tevez' and Vidal's departures, irrelevant if you agreed or didn't agree with them in general.

people will bash me but i blame weak Seria A for this. i seriously didn't even bother about Seria A after the first scudetto we had with conte. it is so easy it is not fun anymore. i bet players like Pogba and Vidal and Tevez find it boring here. we don't have classico like Liga. the dark age of Milan sides is really hurting us like shit. their derby was the best, now people watch the Madrid Derby instead. players come here only looking for a nice league record and hoping for a nice CL ride. unless we get serious about winning CL things won't change much. Bayeren has not competition also but they have money and they take CL seriously.

if we have competition and great teams like Milan and Inter (it is ugly but necessary) beating teams like Arsenal and Athletico and psg in the CL things won't change. we actually did our best last year. but we are alone. this is our problem.

One top player that we have sold in the post calciopolli period, after underwhelming performances mind you and it means we are transit destination. Sure, makes sense.

I'll be convinced that we aren't a transit destination if we get Götze.

If we don't, then we would have to believe we are one, especially if we aren't able to attract top players even with big sales.
