If this summer ends with:

Khedira
Zaza
Dybala
Rugani
Sandro
Goetze
Mandzukic
Pogba staying

....

...and if the Vidal deal brings us 35-40 to invest yet because Goetze was a loan then I feel bad for those that doubted him. Still, Goetze or not the guy had a great mercato.

That'd be an amazing mercato but firstly..

Lets see if things can take shape.Lets not jump into conclusions or jinx any deals.

If Goetze comes (especially without the buyback) along with Sandro, and Vidal is sold like we know he is, then parity is restored. I would say it is our best mercato since the one we bought Nedved, Buffon and that defender in.

However, if Goetze doesn't come, and we have sold Vidal, then I'd say it would be a pretty underwhelming market given the season we've had and the position of strength we brought ourselves to. That said, it wouldn't endanger the DG's job, but it would surely place him in the precarious, 'not entirely reliable' category.

My reading of the situation is that IF Goetze comes in a loan like circumstance with obligation to buy and a buy back clause, it could also mean we will be using the Vidal and Llorente money elsewhere, probably on a Cuadrado + Sandro combination. Don't want to get too optimistic but that to me would be our best case scenario to complete our roster for the season.

That would be absolutely brilliant. But too many variables. And I hate buy backs. I don't mind the loan with obligation deal, but that option to buy back will just keep us on edge the whole time. Look at Moratas situstion for instance, or just the message it will send out to other big talents. Juve is the final stepping stone before returning to the mother ship. Just doesn't make us project the kind of image we are trying to build/resurrect. On the other hand, as intriguingly, this may just become a way of doing business for the so called tier two clubs like Atletico, Dortmund and the like.

I'd still take Goetze though. Fap all over his grandma I'd like to fuck face.

Right now... we are pretty much a second tier club the same as athletico and the rest. If we continue building young talent and then selling him because we cant retain.. it will hurst us.

id take the buy back only it were set at about double and i doubt that would be the case. it'll probably be closer to 60m
no man, fuck buybacks... it always put us in bad situations...and bayern will not buy back their player at the double.. thats just a no. We will ose him, and most importantly..we will strenghten our image as "stepping stone club"...which im pretty sure we dont want to.
