Obviously the majority of our signings are complete, but expect another player or two in one of Beppe's famous "opportunity signings". Obviously we're signing the likes of Neto, Vadala and Zaza. And if we sell our dead wood (Isla, Ogbonna, Llorente) we'll look to bring in another player or two.

I wouldn't be too surprised if we kept a hold of Isla and Llorente. They've both shown themselves to be great players in the past (Isla always plays well with Chile and I'm sure Allegri has been watching the Copa América this summer) and perhaps with a little work we could make use of them.

I would eliminate the likes of Oscar and Isco in that case, because they aren't really 'opportunity' signings. While Salah, Cuadardo and Jojo probably fit that bill a little better. Possible loans with option with no immediate financial outlay in this mercato while taking up a position Allegri has requested.

what more can be said that hasn't already been said a million times about this fantastic GM?

I can think of five of us that have been on this bandwagon since the beginning.

I mean, the guy is signing WC and CL winners on Bosmans. He has the youth market on lock down. He muscles around people like Zamparini and Barcelona. Clubs that would lose two top players like Tevez and Pirlo would likely be able to replace both in the same season but what does Beppe do? He does exactly that and then some.

I still remember the quality vs quantity debates.

Depth Signings. Another CM signing. Oh the excuse mill never failed to produce gems. It still does from experds like Cronios.

We overpaid for some players perhaps yes, but if we were to sell every player he bought I can pretty much guarantee we would end up with a hell of a lot more in pocket than what it cost us. THAT is running a good business.

The average age of the squad has been reduced drastically this yr.
We'll now probably have only 4 starters above 30 maybe 3 if Asamoah locks down that LB spot.

And those 4 oldies are in the backline + goalie where having vast experience is necessary and beneficial in so many ways.
