Marotta should point out that Lotito isn't even liked by his own fans, not even a minority, how should someone who can't manage his own club properly manage a whole league? And why does he attack Marotta personally, something he - since he is a professional - never would do?

The power obsessed trio of Galliani-Lotito-Tavecchio is like a disease for italian football. They don't really care about football, they only care about political power for their own sake. With them progress will be slow if there will be any progress, too slow to catch up with other leagues.

Serie A's tough times won't end for at least another 5-6 years.

The rest of the league isn't really our concern. As long as we continue to win in Serie A I don't give a fuck about other teams. They can rot, especially Inter, Milan, Napoli... It would be amazing if we could win another Scudetto and leave every other team far behind us.

But what we really need to do is focus on getting better in Europe. Hopefully Allegri will deliver.

hate to break it to you guys, but marotta started it
Are they in kindergarten now? Doesn't matter who started it, Marotta didn't try to make fun of Lotito's personal shortcomings. Only stating the fact that Lotito is pulling all the strings for the Italian NT and that there's conflict of interest, since he's Lazio's chairman. Barging into a dressing room after Azzurri's game shouldn't be within his rights.

I don't believe that Marotta's complains concern exclusively Italian NT, but Italian football federation in general, its legislative and while Lotito is Lazio's chairman he shouldn't be in position to exercise his influence on decisions that can be related to either Italian NT or FIGC. His complains are therefore valid, but Lotito's response was out of place and deliberately avoiding the important issue that more and more people in Italy have been raising their voice about. It's only natural that Marotta cares about the environment in which Juve is coexisting.

That's why Marotta is mad at Lotito (from what i have understood)

There was an agreement between all clubs in the league on what to change in order to help italian football. With or without Tavecchio. Lotito and Agnelli as the "leaders" of two opposite parties worked together on a piece of paper to find a consensus. They did find an agreement.

That paper included the consideration of B teams - something Juventus and Roma want strongly - now that Tavecchio became president (who is extremely close to Lotito) and the work on what has been agreed started there suddenly is no talk about B-Teams anymore. Now Tavecchio and Lotito want to allow timesharing instead (a owner is allowed to own a second club and that club can play in any league, those clubs should then play youngstars from the bigger club). The thing is the only person who owns a second club in Italy is Lotito who also owns Salerno, he clearly uses his power for his own good instead of what has been agreed and would beneficial to everyone not just Lotito.

It has not much to do with the NT. The Lega A is a different ball game. But also dominated by Lotito who is sponsored by people like Galliani and Preziosi, meaning they basically decide the rules of the Serie A and have great influence on the future of this league. The problem here is they have no clue what they are doing - they can't even manage their own clubs properly - and they care more about politics (power) than the actual sport itself. Also well run clubs like Roma, Fiorentina and Juventus have basically no power, which is a shame.

And since Juventus is dependent on the Serie A to a certain degree this is not good at all for us. We need a strong Serie A, one that produces more and better talents, one that is more attractive for sponsors, one that generates more money from TV rights, one with attractive stadiums to play in. It's delusional to think that what happens in Serie A in good or bad won't have any influence on Juve, every club is heavily influenced by his league. Bayern dominated the Bundesliga for years but didn't have a realistic chance in Europe because of a weak Bundesliga. Only the rise of the Bundesliga made the rise of Bayern possible. We are in the present in a similiar situation Bayern was between 2003 and 2009.
