Conte has made enough comments about what displeases him in out transfer department and kind of players he needs to tweak the team.
We are all very well aware of the system he wanted to field and what kind of lateral players we needed.
We all became martyrs of Marottas inability to get those players.
Conte has thrown warnings time and time again.
Again by the beginning of the summer, he repeated what he wanted, in order to stay.
We were linked with realistic targets for those spots that pleased him.
The time to calibrate the new team has come, but Marotta has again failed to deliver those players.
What else do you really want to see???
What go out and publically admit that our transfer director is completely useless, but our board prefers him to our coach, because he is more easy to handle...

When you are competing at the highest level and you need to completely change the formation and the tactical roles of your starters, without losing a season to give them time to adapt, you cant have the core elements of the new system on 31august.
At least Conte doesnt work that way.
So they have discussed it with out transfer manager, has set our priority targets some months ago and all that remained was to complete those deals.
There was an extra wait perhaps due to wc, but the negotiation happened, the players and teams came to agreament, only a complete useless manager would manage to fail from here...
But our boy Beppe, did managed to find a way once again, well that was a little too much for Conte this time though and the board has it fault if they have preferred Marotta over Conte!

Imo there are a lot of assumptions in all this. I may never get the full picture of what has been discussed, promised and agreed between the management and Conte but at this point I think it's a bit excessive to crucify someone in this particular matter. The appointment of Allegri though... :vdp:

He's the CEO. He's responsible for Conte leaving.
I dont want to defend Unibrow and Beps like a white knight....but how they can be totally at fault for this, when the other saint had an advanced deal with milan under the table?. I mean...seriously? Or im missing something?

This guy is a legend. He can do no wrong. Of course Conte is classless and spineless for walking out on us like that. Marotta, being the great man and champion that he is, rescued us, by bringing in the legendary Allegri.

He is not responsible in any way, shape or form for Conte's resignation or desire to leave. There isn't an inkling of doubt in my mind that Marotta the humble and magnificent acted in the best interests of the club all along. He can't be faulted, and should never be faulted. Long live the one eyed master, the sauna, and the society.
