:agree:

But if feels like there's no competition locally, we own the best players, the best young players are co-owned by us and i feel we can get any player we want from any team in Serie A bar those cunts from Napoli.
True indeed. But let's not forget that a large reason for Napoli's spending spree is because they sold Cavani for an ungodly amount of money, and it's debateable whether they are a better squad than last year.

Which brings me to another point.

Paul Pogba.

I love Pogba. I was thrilled when they poached him from Manchester United. However, with the rumored figures being thrown about as to how much Juve could get for him, I wouldn't necessarily be adverse to selling him, despite how good he is and how good he can become.

When Napoli sold Cavani, there was no question as to whether or not he was their best player. Far and away their best. Is Pogba the best player on Juve? Some say yes, some say no, but the point is, Juve without Pogba are infinitely better than Napoli without Cavani, if you simply take those two players away from their squad. Juve still have Tevez, Llorente, Vidal, marchisio, Pirlo, Barzagli, Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Chiellini, and could you imagine what juve could do with 60 million?

Oh my.

Surely we are going to add some cash into this deal? Unless Inter have a problem with Guarin, the valuations of the two players have to be at least €5m apart?
cough inter

We'll need Pogba for when Pirlo leaves. We can probably do without him now but when Pirlo leaves we will need him, unless we can get another player of similar quality, but I don't think there will be any tbh.

I'd hope we'd sell him for a lot more than 60m too. Any team that is buying him could afford more than 60m. 80-100m.

@ZoSo

I mentioned 60m because that seems to be the common denominator.

Even if it is "only" 60 million, that's enough for two quality wingers and a LB, and allows Asamoah to move back to a CM position.

A Midfield rotation of Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Guarin, and Asamoah is pretty lethal, to be honest.

We'll see how it turns out but from a tactical perspective that might be putting too much pressure on Vidal when Pirlo isn't around anymore.

I'm sorry but we don't need to be just better than Napoli without Cavani. We need to be better than Barca, Real, City, Chelsea, etc. Getting rid of Pogba halts that progress by that much more. And there is no way we can get three! quality players for 60 million, especialy if we get it all at once from Pogba's sale.

It would be smart to keep Pogba as our franchise player. People already know about him and he won the junior balon d'or or whatever that is called. Wouldn't be surprised if he wins the actual one too, and I would like that to happen with Juve.

I mentioned Napoli because Cheesio had mentiond them first.

Ok, let's say for the sake of argument that you can't ge three quality players for 60 million. Could you get two high quality wingers for 60 million? I would think that you could, and with a midfield rotation then of Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Asamoah, and Guarin is certainly an improvement when you add two wingers of quality.

Juve can't compete with Barca, Real, City, Chelsea on a financial level, so unfortunately, moves like Pogba may have to happen. Do I want to see it happen? Of course not. But that's the harsh economic reality of it. Juve will eventually need to sell players like Pogba in order to fill out other positions of their squad. Might as well do it while the iron is hot.
