Without Diego we look exactly like we did in pre-season when Diego wasn't on the pitch. Utterly useless and static.

I've been trying to wrap my head around this move and understand where Marotta is coming from but I just can't. Why the fook would anyone who wants Juventus to win and watched our pre-season not hold on to Diego with both hands? Getting rid of Trezeguet while still paying his wages is inexcusable as well, we don't have a single prolific goalscorer to finish those non existent chances and we are still paying 4.5mil for this honor? And the replacement for the loss of these two players is Quagliarella on loan?

I just don't understand the logic, I seriously don't get how Marotta could think these are right moves to be making.

"Juventus signed average players to an already average squad"

A Swedish expert in Italian football just said that, have to agree.

Even Del Neri wanted him to stay...

seriously there is no excuse
There is.. moneywise, they say Diego was sold to keep the balance in the books.
The thing I can't understand, why the fuck do you buy Martinez for 12 mln then and pay 4.5 mil on a loan deal for Quag. Thats 16.5 together, while Diego only was worth 15 mil?

Fuck Marotta in every possible way, the guy failed with most transfers, Krasic, Aquilani, Storari and Bonucci were okay, he did pay big for three of them.

I don't remember anyone here saying that we did a good move selling Diego. But he is sold now. Give the coach and the team some time. It was only the first game of the season. I'm not saying we will suddenly improve a lot but we have fielded too many new players, they need to play more to understand each other as well as the coach's tactics. It wasn't like we won our games away to teams like Bari last season, even with Diego playing for us.

I sometime forget what the concept of being a fan means. No matter who directing the club, who coaching the team or who playing on the pitch, we must cheer for the team up until the last minute of every game and the last game of every season.
