I`m not a big fan of Amauri but now after we are linked with Gila I really hope we sign Amauri!

Gila is one of the most overated strikers of all time IMO
he is not a great finisher, he is not a great dribbler, he is not the fastest player...
so what is he good of?! I tell you what NOTHING

the way I see it DP and Trez>Iaquinta>Amauri>Palladino> Gilardino=Zalayeta

I just read an article in channel 4 about Amauri and I must agree, I think the guy is getting way too cocky and might kill the winning spirit this team has. Face it people, he might not like being played as a sub behind trez or dp and I feel if we lose our winning mentality we might go back to crapello's passionless yet skillful squad...except with a bit less skill.
Gilardino has no where to go but up from here and we've succeeded in the past when we've purchased Milan flops...(Rememer DAVIDS!!??)

But by no means am I confident in the capabilities of Gilardino after his football coma the past two seasons but I think if you take a look at our roster next season if we hold on to who we've got...and bring on Gila, considering he can only improve, we have a pretty lethal attack...dp-trez-iaquinta-palla-gila-gio...i feel amauri might be a bit too much for the depth we've got. plus gila won't bring down team morale since he is a juventino at heart.

First of all Iaquinta is miles ahead of Gila
and Gila is not that talented
I never saw that talent you say you see in Gila
as for Palladino this guy has some talent and he could be really great
right now he is better than Gila IMO but if Palla had a manager like Wenger to guide him then I would say Palla would become our top striker!
Gila is medicore just face it!
as for Amauri vs Iaquinta- IMO Iaquinta is the better player but I havent seen enough of Amauri to compare

Amauri would cost more than Gila but Amauri would also contribute more than Gila

It`s like saying Mancini would cost less than C.Ronaldo but then again C.Ronaldo is 10 times the player Mancini is (and I`m a bit of a Mancini fan)

Amauri is a good player do I think we need him? well we will need a forward if we sell Iaquinta or Palladino and Amauri is a possability even if we could get better for that amount!

as for Gilardino do we need him? well even if we do sell Iaquinta I still see Gilardino not being good enough even as a sub so... a big NO I wouldn`t want him even if he was a free transfer since he is useless

by the way I see his Parma 23 goals season as a fluke just like other players has that kind of season and then dissappears

Well I agree technical ability isnt the only important factor!
And forget about the thing with Juve just look at how Milan struggling while they clearly have better technical players than Juve and Roma have

The thing is Gilardino has nothing but love for this club and we can`t just sign someone because he is our fan... he should at least has something
his teamwork and movement isn`t sky high as well you know...

I understand you like Gila but I don`t like him not because he isn`t as technical as Amauri, it`s because he simply is medicore and nothing more

Inzaghi isn`t technical as well but he knows how to move and contribute a lot more than Gila

Not wanting him is understandable. But whether its with Juve or not (getting him for a cheap bargain like 7-8m would be good), I have no doubt he will considerably better then his Milan self again (you just don't lose supreme goalscoring touch like he showed in Parma).

The factors that has made him suffer in Milan is MUCH MUCH more complicated then just saying he sucks. How Milan plays that doesn't cater to his needs or the needs of any poacher, who just gets too isolated in their system, is highly important factor.

Gila and Juve are much better suited to each others styles than Gila and Milan.

If the price is right, lets go for him.

Both Gila and Canna were great at Parma but sucked at Inter/Milan.

Both of them are players of great quality but cannot perform well temporarily.

Canna turned out to be a success. I just can't see why we can't do it again on Gila.

I wouldn't mind it if we got Gilardino...the guy has shown that the ability is there, just needs the right enviroment and some fine-tuning

No way. What would be the point of signing Gila. We have Trez, who is much better than Gila. Gila would obviously have to be the sub for Trez. He is a confidence player and being on the bench would mean that he probably would be a waste coming of the bench, i.e. he would do nothing. He would be very expensive seeing as Milan paid 24M euros(?) for him. Might as well keep Iaquinta as the back up if we're aiming for Gila. What we really need is a vice-Del Piero. Trez has enough in him for our 3 competitons next season, and Iaquinta is a super-sub.

Amauri is obviously the better choice than Gila. He is cheaper, can play next to Trez, IQ or DP if necessary, and he is simply better.

who said Amauri is cheaper? Zamps is trying to get half our Primavera team in exchange for that mofo! and Milan paid 24mil 3 years ago...Gila is barely worth half that right now
