How much you think Galliani would be willing to lose on him?

Zamparini can have Nocerino and Palladino if he wants. Lanzafame, I've never seen him, but I have the feeling that everyone is just hoping he is the next big thing rather than him actually being all that great. Let him go on co-ownership or loan to Palermo as well.

Galliani surely won't be willing to lose him for 1/2 the price he paid for him. Gila will either saty and suffer, go somewhere via player exchange, or somebody (hopefully not us) will overpay for him (hopefully some rich, stupid EPL club).

we can certainly assume that, as with any new signing I suppose...but is he as bad as he is made out to be? is the Milan system suitable for his style of play? i think we can say NO to that...but that's just me ;)

I wouldn't say it suits Pippo either, but Pippo isn't a coward. I used to like Gila, and was happy when his first season was a bust at Milan, I defended him in arguments, and thought that his destiny would be Juve. Then I reliased that he's ass.

He'll come a hell of a lot cheaper than Amauri, that's for sure.

Gilardino is younger, and his career can get back on track with Juventus. He was rotting in Milan & wanted to leave LAST season but was promised that he was very much a part of Milan's plans in the 08 season. We all saw how that turned out.

He's a Juventino, we should buy him. NOT! Let's see if we can get the other 5 options at the forward position before thinking about getting him.

yea but u can only do so much when u r perpetually benched and when u r brought on, that only for the last 10-15 mins...all I am saying is if we are looking for strikers that are not overpriced and are suited for the Italian game, Gila wouldn't be a bad candidate

:howler: Please spare me of the bullshit. Gilardino has played 30 games this season! 20 of them he started from the 1st minute! He was substituted only 7 times and he entered as a sub 10 times. Just admit it, the guy is just a waste of space and hasn't got any talent whatsoever. You are just biased because he's Italian and he once said he's a Juve fan. Well I don't care as I am sure Palladino can do better in left midfield than Gilardino would do in attack. His overall efficiency = a BIG ZERO

When in form, Gila is one of Italy's best attackers.
:lol2:

Iaquinta isn't better than Palladino, either.
How is that?

I just read an article in channel 4 about Amauri and I must agree, I think the guy is getting way too cocky and might kill the winning spirit this team has. Face it people, he might not like being played as a sub behind trez or dp and I feel if we lose our winning mentality we might go back to crapello's passionless yet skillful squad...except with a bit less skill.
Gilardino has no where to go but up from here and we've succeeded in the past when we've purchased Milan flops...(Rememer DAVIDS!!??)

But by no means am I confident in the capabilities of Gilardino after his football coma the past two seasons but I think if you take a look at our roster next season if we hold on to who we've got...and bring on Gila, considering he can only improve, we have a pretty lethal attack...dp-trez-iaquinta-palla-gila-gio...i feel amauri might be a bit too much for the depth we've got. plus gila won't bring down team morale since he is a juventino at heart.
Horse-shit. When Amauri played against us, half of our team hugged him and smiled with him. The guy is loved in Palermo and obviously in Juventus even though he doesn't even play for us and he bagged 2 goals against Buffon. You might want to resconsider your bullshit statement.

A good string of games & some support from a coaching staff will do wonders for him.
Maybe. But I can only see Prandelli succeeding in getting Gilardino back on track.

Both Gila and Canna were great at Parma but sucked at Inter/Milan.

Both of them are players of great quality but cannot perform well temporarily.

Canna turned out to be a success. I just can't see why we can't do it again on Gila.
Cannavaro was proven word class quality player. Gilardino is not.

How is that? I hate Gilardino because he is useless and absolute shit of a player, not because he's Italian.
I would contend that of his play, that's only been true at Milan.

Hey, even Juve can make a wanker out of Henry. Gila isn't fit to tie Henry's boots, but I see more chances of upside than downside for Gila himself with a move away form the San Siro.

Think Mutu when he left Chelsea, or Sissoko when he left Liverpool. Often they don't turn out that much better. But I wouldn't whitewash someone as a shit of a player because of two seasons at Milan, ignoring everything else that he's accomplished.

He's a better player than what Milan has been getting out of him. How much is the only question, really.

Who else then? I think your point is invalid, there aren't many Italian players that I can't stand. I can name you who they are, but then I would be completely off-topic and I don't want to be dragged into this discussion. There are plenty of people here who hate French, Brazilian players so why would it be unacceptable that I hate a few Italian players? Give me a break.
