The attitude Donnarumma has shown towards Milan will likely be the same attitude we'll get from him if we sign him, so the most likely option actually isn't Donna staying or being sold - it's running down his contract and leaving for free. The rumored 3 year deal points to that as well.
If we're as incompetent at qualifying for CL as Milan is then he has every right to have the same attitude.

I have not seen the 3 year rumor, absolutely not in that case.

Tbh he does sound like an entitled baby. Growing up in the Milan Academy, given the number 1 shirt at an extremely young age, for the past few years being the 1st-2nd best paid goalie in Serie A and this summer Milan offering to make him the best paid goalkeeper in Serie A. Yet that isn't enough for him and now he wants to move as a free agent, giving back zilch to Milan, to earn a couple of millions / season more. And apparently he doesn't want only that, he wants guaranteed CL as well lol. Anyone thinking that we're locking down the goalie position for the next decade if we sign this guy is in for a rude awakening, this guys character seems as far away from Buffon as possible
He didn't grow up in the Milan academy, he was there for 2 years. He is from Campania.

Since then he has played for the first team for 6 seasons. This isn't really a case of breaking through and leaving ASAP for more glory. He should have around 250 games for Milan that must put him far ahead of most players careers at a single club at top level.

Why would he not want to play in CL? He is the best GK in the league and the biggest GK talent in the world. Raiola is generally a POS but he does push the careers of his players forward and it makes no sense that Donnarumma isn't playing CL at this point. He should be at the highest level.

Speaking of Buffon, he left Parma when they were in CL spots after being in their academy for a couple of years and in their first team for like 5 or 6 seasons, as the highest paid GK transfer ever at the time.

It's not like we haven't been here before.

fair point, although he did move to Milan as a relative nobody (in first team terms, for sure he already was somebody in youth leagues) when he was 14yo, the fact that he already has that amount of games played is a testament to his talent, but also to opportunities given to him. Donnarumma's attitude towards Milan has been a little ungrateful to put it mildly and there's nothing to suggest he will develop any sort of loyalty towards Juve.

I wasn't following in the 90ties, but Buffon didn't run down his contract with Parma and he probably didn't have a renewal drama every summer while he was in Parma too, not to mention how Buffon went down to B with Juve and stayed during our rebuilding years while undisputed Nr.1 in the world. This kid might be the next Buffon in terms of on-the pitch potential, but apart from that he seems worlds away from the standart Gigi set, as soon as the going gets tough guys like Donnarumma are more likely to contribute towards a collapse not help weather the storm.

@DiMarzio: Juventus are in contact with Raiola for Donnarumma, Juventus really want him and are accelerating fast to close the deal. #Donnarumma #JuveNews

Someone remember when Inter signed De Vrij and he made that mistake that made Lazio fail to reach the CL and Inter did because of it?

That again with Dollar and us, please!

Meanwhile Inter is going hard for Musso. Seems like Handa will be second GK next season for them.
Handa isnt having his best season, he's getting old.

He stayed at Milan for how many years now? This is his 6th season, he was always one of the most wanted keepers, and they don't have a single CL campaign played in that timespan, no chances to fight for Serie A even, let alone CL. If that is what he gives us here, then where do I sign?

What the hell would be the point of signing him then? Stupid take.

He is weak on crosses and set pieces and it will be exposed.
