But as you just said, everyone makes mistakes. There is not a goalkeeper alive that has not made a mistake in the heat of the moment before. It happens, they are human. But how they react in the games to follow, that is what matters.

Hardly. The spin made it more difficult, sure, but the shot wasn't that powerful, and a keeper with quicker feet/reaction would have probably saved it.

Just a freak goal. That slight touch off Vidal totally wrong footed Buffon. I'm sure he would have had that shot covered otherwise, it wasn't really hit with that much venom.

And on another note, these balls that are used these days are hilarious. Look at the flight of that ball, defying physics.

No it wasn't that insane. He could have saved it, lets be realistic. His positioning and reflex reaction were slow on both goals.

A shot from that far out, that's not particularly hard and that doesn't have a major or crazy deflection (despite what some here seem to think) is the complete opposite of impossible to save. He messed up, at the worst possible time.
