His agent, once again confirmed he is staying:

I'm not gonna translate the entire thing but here's the gist of it:

- All this talk surrounding Buffon makes it seem like he's the only Juve player who has to go but that's not true. He still has a contract & will play for Juve next season.
- When Buffon said the English league was interesting, that was only the answer to a purely hypothetical question. Nothing more.
- Del Neri is an intelligent man & he knows he can count on Gigi next season.

would still like to hear it from Gigi though...a vote of confidence for Del Neri (even if he doesn't believe it) would put many concerns to rest.

Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon intends to respect his contract and play for the club next season, according to his agent Silvano Martina.

Buffon's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months amid interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

He has also fuelled speculation by saying that if Juventus were to sell him then he would prefer a move to England.

Speaking to Tutto Mercato Web, Martina said: “Seeing the insistence with which you continue to speak about him, I want to remind you that Buffon has a contract with Juve and that next year he will play for Juve.

“With regard to the question about where he would like to go, Buffon replied in a hypothetical manner. He has always said that he would prefer England, but there is nothing more to it than that.

“Moreover, on Saturday he also never said that he would be leaving. His words have been badly interpreted.

“Del Neri is an intelligent man and he knows that he can count on Buffon.”

Lets be honest it makes no sense for Juventus to sell him now, and it makes no sense for Buffon to leave with his family and wife settled in Turin. If we were going to sell him it should of been when we got relegated we would of got alot of money for him then.

Eh, I think its funny how agents always say they will respect the contracts but throw it up in the air by saying "anything can happen in football".

I still think he could go, regardless of what an agent says.
