Agreed, my good friend is a major Celtic fan and he rates Boruc but concedes that he's way too unreliable at times..

Having watched the turnaround at the end of the Bologna game last weekend (Gigi's massive saves) it is going to be impossible to replace Buffon or the points he personally ensures in a league season.

With that in mind I would rather see Frey than Amelia or even Casillas. We need a proven, Serie A keeper in their prime - any droppped points from a Serie A novice would affect us too much next year..
shame really as when he is on form he makes some top-quality saves but his erratic displays this season especially have convinced me that he is not cut out for the very top level

The man knows his stuff....for a jambo anyway.
what can i do?at least i made the escape from the granite city

over the last 10 years or so we have been blessed with soem good keepers, niemi was excellent but gordon is different class

Boruc has been better than Gordon this season but Gordon has more potential and has been affected by the instability at hearts this season.

Bozi, I guess this gordon mightg be your mate, who is playing for Hearts ;) is not he:D
aye gordon is playing for my team hearts and i would be loathe to see him go...but he is an amazing keeper who has teh potential to be world class. like i say i would love to see him stay at hearts but if not bayern, arsenal.manure, fulham and several other sa er linked with him. if he is to move on to a top club i want it to be juve......only if gigi goes though

Juve’s plan to keep Buffon

18.05.2007, 09:00

Juventus president Blanc and general manager Cobolli are laying down the strategy to convince Buffon to stay: more money, the guarantee that the team will be competitive right away and the prospect of a career at the club. Should the goalkeeper decide to leave, they will advise him to go abroad.

Meanwhile, striker Trezeguet said: “If the new team has a winning mentality, we’ll all stay.”

The club has also made steps forward in negotiations with Iaquinta, Huntelaar and Gabriel Milito.

While I'm not a Iaquinta fan at least the management is moving in the right direction and doing the right thing to try and convince the big guns to stay.
