TBH, Gigi has not played consistently well since playing in S America. The guy does not look at all well; - hasn't done since then. He looks like he has a really nasty illness that has wasted him, like Hepatitus.
Excatly, I was thinking about consistency too. He still surely can do a world class save, but he made errors now.

We need a replacement from next season already. If we have any cash to splash it should be on an established goalie.
we should do something in january. the writing has been on the wall for long enough. when our most experienced player is making mistakes left and right it spells trouble.

Gigi isnt a stranger to mistakes against CHievo tho.

I also remember vividly another one that I also think was against Chievo, where tried to collect an easy cross and the ball slipped out of his hands straight into the strikers feet, who scored.

Strangely, when playing for Italy, he pulls some wonder saves every time. I don't get it.
yea like his mess up against Brazil in conf cup?

it's simple he plays more for juve then he does for italy, law of averages means he's more likely going to do mistakes for the team he plays for most. He's been hit and miss IMO for about a year now

Oh Gigi, don't do this to me. Second half I was worried whenever the ball was passed back to him. Can't recall another moment in his career where I really felt that way.

I think his performances in the more recent matches this calendar year are fairly symptomatic of the team's. We are getting a little careless and losing concentration, needing a kick up the ass to wake up. For a goalkeeper that is disastrous, because every mistake will be highlighted.

The first goal just shouldn't happen. The kick is one mistake, but see how the defense is switched off and fails to react. The second 'goal' was just rank bad handling, and for his technique it's obvious that is down to concentration. When you don't have much to do as a keeper it's even more important to stay alert, but he knows all this.

I remember him having a bad year in 09/10 as well, since then he hasn't been the keeper he was. He hasn't had an outstanding season in a long time. Last year was decent but nothing spectacular. Replace him next year imo, at what ever it costs. We can not afford these mistakes in big games or we wont go any where. It could have cost us 3 points against a low team that is not acceptable.

after so many blunders, he cant get a pass anymore, this has nothing to do with the team.
