Gigi was bossing. So calm, always in the right spot. Then again he wasn't really tested at all, he had to stop one header straight at him and a couple of easy shots from just outside the box. And of course he had to catch all those lousy crosses :p Still bossing though :D

True but his positioning is superb. Confidence in his positioning at the highest level.

Are there any goalkeepers on par with him in the history of football? I wasn't around Dino Zoff's era or Gordon Bank's obviously but from my generation, Kahn, Shmeichel, Iker, Van der Sar, Cech, Chilavert, Seaman, Pagliuca, Peruzzi, Barthez etc are in no way as near as Buffon.

Yup.

There are plenty of goalies who would've made quite a meal out of some of their shots from distance, which could've caused danger. Having Gigi is still a huge bonus, especially for these big CHL nights.
