Yes i read today that there is a 40 mil Euro Offer...i would say that now at this moment we will not sell Buffon-But rest serious...if In the Summer Market he will try to buy Buffon for around 40-45 Mil Euro and we can have Amelia...we have to think about it seriously...
:agree:
For 50 mil. EUROS we could get a decent replacement for Buffon and one or two more quality players, not to mention that we would improve our Club financial health.

This deal reminds me of Zidane deal.:eyebrows:

they got cech and cuddicini those arent enough for them /QUOTE]

Question is will Petr Cech will ever be the same again.

His injury is serious man, he will have two metal plates in his head till the rest of
his life!

And Cudicini is an old-man, he s not reliable and good enough for Chelsea.

couldn't agree more.
Still, Buffon is now not promising anything. He will turn 33 when juventus will at the top again ( after 4 or 5 years).

Juve, Buffon: "Il rinnovo? Non prometto nulla"
20 10 2006
All'epoca avrò 33 anni, non prometto nulla".

what the hell are you talking about? how does this remind you of zidane´s transfer.. can you even tell me how much we paid for Gigi some years ago?? and compare that with the money we paid for zidane:disagree:

and there is another very important factor. Zidane was never so important for our team. Gigi is a very very important person and player.. just remember what he said after the remini match.. gigi is already a leading player at juve and selling him will cause huge goalkeeper problems as nobody can replace him

having a world class keeper for 5 years is invaluable imo. buffon is the best keeper in the world, czech, dida, casillas are there too, and that's it. keepers like him are hard to find, the hardest. keeping buffon should be our imperative, as i said you can't put a price on his stay.

Eventually Buffon is gonna retire, he isnt going to be our GK forever, you know!

This reminds me of a Zidane transfer because we got extra-large sum of money
for him. You didnt understand me.

And why are you so pissed at me? What have I done to you?

And yes, I know how much we payed him

i can't believe people are actually thinking about selling buffon. he's the only irreplaceable player in our squad.

wtf!?!?!?! i just woke up and checked this thread it feels like a nightmare!!!

mark buffon is not replacable end of story. buffon stays juventini for life i want him to be the leader of the old lady after del piero.

as for a decent replacement for 70 million well i think the all mighty bisco would'nt say no :D i'd love to be juves first goalie.

no for real i think buffon wont be going any where i hope he stays with juventus.

True, but he has also said, more then once, that he will leave after this season so it is possible, and if Chelsea is interested in giving enough, then options are limited, he is over 28 so can buy himself out of his contract if he wants, and then we won't get nearly what clubs might be willing to offer for him (of course, this is worst case scenario but who knows).
For 50MEuro, I am sure we will find an adequate replacement for him, Amelia, Curci or others.

Buffon not joining Chelsea – agent
    Friday 20 October, 2006

Gianluigi Buffon’s representative has insisted that the Juventus No 1 will not be joining Chelsea after Christmas.

The Bianconeri star was linked with a £25m move to London this morning, following a serious injury to Petr Cech, but the Italian’s agent can’t see the switch happening.

“We would obviously be honoured if a club like Chelsea made an offer for Buffon, but I can tell you that he will not leave Turin in January,” Silvano Martina noted.

“Gianluigi is very happy at Juventus. After all, he had many offers from Italy and abroad during the summer but turned them down,” he added after Buffon accepted to play in Serie B.

“He chose to stay in Turin because he wanted to repay the club for helping him become famous and being one of the best players in the world.”

Martina also dismissed suggestions that Chelsea had been in touch with him, while wishing the Czech Republic international all the best for a speedy recovery.

“We are saddened with what happened to Cech, but it's normal that a great club like Chelsea would be interested in one of the top goalkeepers in the world,” added Martina.

“And if Chelsea were to make an offer then it would be very difficult for any club to reject it.

“We will have to see what happens at the end of the season and we hope that Chelsea will not need Buffon because it would mean that Cech has made a quick recovery.”

The World Cup winner, who moved to Turin from Parma in 2001 for a massive £33m, is also a reported target for Manchester United, Inter and Milan.

i don't think buffon will leave. he said he wanted a new challenge, and he got it, the scandal made us into a whole new club. new managers, new players, less options, etc.. promotion to serie a is not the end of that challenge. he'll go on.

I hope you are right, but I doubt it, time will tell I guess.

This is a lot of money but having buffon with us can be worth much more than this money. he is the best goalkeeper in the world and if I look on other teams that always have problems with their goalkeepers I would say that we should not sell Buffon.
