Why am I not surprised... You've always wanted us to sell Buffon. Get over it.
Not true. I have not always wanted to sell him, there was a time when he was untouchable, however that time is slowly going away IMO. He's been having more and more injuries, he's getting older and I think he has reached his peak and will only go downhill from now.

As much as I love the guy (and believe me, I do), the fact is that this Juve is not the same as the one before Calciopoli, we need to rebuild the squad and that also means we heed to rejuvenate it and bring in fresh faces and not hold on too old ones for too long when they have less and less to offer.

Buffon is a great keeper, but I think his time as the best keeper in the world is slowly ending, and we should sell him and tray to bring in some funds and reduce the wage budget to be able to bring in new faces who's time is coming.

Same hing with Alex, I would like him to stay, but not for anywhere near his current salary, he'd have to reduce it to 1.5-2 mil € max. He needs to understand that he is not as important for juve as before and that his time is coming to an end and that his performances dont justify a 6 mil € salary anymore.

It's time for some fresh faces.

20 points is a lot though, that means that Juventus will definitely win the league if Buffon was playing. not only would they win the league they'd win it by a big margin too.

Exactly, he might be worth a few points, but 20 points is massive, almost no single player can be worth that many points

My point exactly. The time of these kind of saves is IMO coming to an end. They might come from time to time, but not as often as before, and I dont he will be considered as the best in the world again.
If our defensive players doing great as juve used to be and protect Gigi by not making him face the opponent all by himself like the last few seasons , then , you can guarantee that there is no way someone could be better than Gigi as a goalkeeper .

The different between Gigi and the others is that he almost never make silly mistakes and he has no weak point , he is great in every thing: FK'S , one on one , covering , passing , crosses and high balls , and the most important thing he is the best in TIMING !!

And don't tell me he is no longer capable of doing that , as I said he just needs a very good defenders in front of him , and the last time we have seen Buffon making those incredible saves is only the last season , early in the season when the whole team was performing well , almost nobody could score in our net .

Weird how last season he was pulling these saves off weekly, if they're coming to an end.

Keep Buffon.

Seems like his best two attributes are mental, positioning/timing. Meaning his physical condition matters but not was much. If he was all about reaction, etc then I would be worried about his condition when he returns
