We cannot hold him as hostage, i hope he will force our board to try and make this team competitive, by improving some of the men who are supposed to help him, by creating a wall in front him instead of wasting more money to forwards and DMs...

you could read Gigi's comments two ways. He could be putting a bit of pressure on the board to make some signings and make the team more competitive and he has not intention of leaving.

The other way could be because he is simply easing everyone for his exit. Although there will be some signings but not to the level he expects.

You could notice the difference between his comments now and a while ago where he emphasized helping the team with the transfer money.

Buffon future in doubt
Friday 1 May, 2009
Gigi Buffon will only decide to stay at Juventus once he has seen who the Bianconeri buy this summer.

There is growing disillusion at Juventus over the team's inability to fight League leaders Inter all the way for the Scudetto.

The Bianconeri slipped to third at the weekend, nine points off the pace, after a disappointing 2-2 draw with bottom of the table Reggina.

“I have a contract until 2013,” Buffon told L'Equipe. “There is still time until then. We will also look at the team we have next season.

“I hope that it is even more competitive. I want to understand with peace of mind what happens inside the club so I can make the best decision.”

Buffon was linked with a lucrative move to Manchester City in January, but reiterated his desire to stay at Juventus.

The World Cup winner joined the Bianconeri in 2001 and has made 241 appearances for the club, including a stint in Serie B.

Don't know how many of you had your TV channel showing the pitch during halftime. Gigi entered the pitch before the others, actually around 7-10 minutes before the rest. He was talking to himself and looked really annoyed. It was really difficult seeing him like that, the Ultras then began singing his name.

As the others entered the field the stadium announcer made the announcement that Camo and Alé have been substituted for Marco and Poulsen, resulting jeers from the fans.

What made Gigi leave the locker room before the rest? Argument with that A-hole ranieri? Two champions subbed against mediocre players.

After the game Buffon didn't have the stomach looking at the fans, he was applauding the curva, but didn't look up instead facing the ground shaking his head.

The result is not with us and neither is the unity in the team.

Forza Gigi, non mollare mai!!!
