Vieira and Ibrahimovic aren't the type of players whom we would have fought for, but Buffon certainly is. Actually, he has to realise that yesterday isn't today.

That's not the point, the point is about the offer itself. We sold two players with a 75% discount on their value. Based on this stupidity, he thinks he can offer the offer he did to Gigi.

That's why I said, today isn't yesterday. If we accepted to sell them with such a transfer fee, so that was because we're in a very critical situation and the players wanted to leave the club; there were no much choices.

But it differs now, we want to keep Buffon and we still have enough time to decide and to negotiate for a proper transfer fee, if he decides to leave.

Buffon's agent Silvano Martina talked about his client's future.
It will probably be one of the main themes of the upcoming transfer period: what will happen to Gianluigi Buffon? The rumours have been going round for a while now. The Juventus management never misses an opportunity to reaffirm their intentions to keep the keeper, and it's also well known Buffon is being tracked by several big clubs.

The man himself has always been somewhat reserved when asked about his future. However, today his agent Silvano Martina did make some statements regarding the World Cup winner's situation.

"Everyone is talking about Buffon, but no one I know of has made a move" Martina declared. "He never said he wanted to leave Juventus, he never expressed any discomfort and is waiting for the end of the season to make an assessment of the situation."

Martina made some careful forecasts, leaving every door open: "Even though Juve will probably make some important signings, it's doubtful they will be able to reach the standards of Inter, Roma, and Milan. However, with the exception of Chelsea who have Cech, there are few clubs in the world who could afford a player of Buffon's level, let's not forget he is the best goalkeeper in the world."

The mystery remains unsolved...

we made a profit on Ibra and a loss on Viera if am not mistaken

Buffon won’t be sacrificed

Juventus claim that they won’t sell Gianluigi Buffon this summer in order to fund their transfer campaign.

Cashing in on the £25m rated goalkeeper is a strategy open to the Old Lady, but director general Jean-Claude Blanc insists that is not on their agenda.

“We are not planning on letting Buffon leave,” said Blanc on Wednesday afternoon even if some rumours suggest otherwise.

“If he stayed with us in Serie B, like many other Juve players, then it is only because he wants to continue playing with us in Serie A as well.

“We will invest most of the extra £71m increase in capital voted for by the board of directors on the transfer market. We are aware that our competitiveness depends on our future signings.

“We want to keep our talented young players and we hope to sign some champions, mainly for our midfield and defensive department.”

Blanc maintains that the club plans on being immediately competitive at the highest levels as confirmed by their January activity.

“We agreed deals for Zdenek Grygera [Ajax], Hasan Salihamidzic [Bayern Munich] and a young talent such as Domenico Crisicto [Genoa] during that time.

“This is the club’s policy, next year we want to be one of the first four or five clubs,” continued the official.

However, the outfit have suffered a setback today after target Torsten Frings extended his Werder Bremen contract until 2011.

Thats wright!
We released Vieira & D'Camel too cheap.
We should have tooken at least 40 for Ibra, Real was preparing 60m euro bid...
And Vieira, at least 15 mils. I wonder thou how come noone came with more lucrative offer. Liverpool were intrested for him then!
They should have outbidded Inter, jerks.
