The club made the decision to not extend his contract. This isnt some Buffon has enough of losing CL finals move.
The reality here is that Buffon will play maybe 1-2 seasons at best. We might even see a situation where he moves to different league/country but fails to adapt and then leaves europe for last big pay day. I think its possible he could flop at his next club. He has played here and in Italy all his career. A soon to be 41 year old is going to take over at Liverpool now? At Psg it will be easy cause league is easy for Psg however in CL it wont be easy. Also Buffon is used to communicate in italian. What language is he speaking with a Tuchel?
I have to say this could end ugly in some sense. I remember Ashley Cole left england late career and failed to adapt in Rome when he was one of the best LBs in world during Chelsea days.

Sydney and Delhi were almost amateur level. I don't understand the complaint.
He went there to retire and have fun and also help develop footy there. Don't see anything wrong with that.

Many players go to MLS or China to retire. It doesn't take anything away from their career or love for any particular club. Del Piero did even better choosing Australia and India.
Totti wouldn't have won the Ballon D'or, but at peak, he was a contender for 3rd best footballer in the world. He chose to be treated like a god in Rome over trophies.

Timing is everything. Club did well parting with Del Piero and Buffon as players at the right times. It's time for Woj to take over.
Good news is it seems he'll pick Juve mgmt/staff over Italy when he hangs up the boots. So, perfect.
Just hope he picks Boca (would be very classy move) or a facsimile over a CL contender/pretender, though I don't think winning CL is his primary objective when it comes to picking his new team. He knows about the low odds of winning CL and luck factor whatever the team. Very likely, more interested in experiencing the game outside of Italy and have fun. Mentioned before how Juve forges you, makes you a man, etc while at Real and Barca you've more fun, that it's a diff way of living and playing footy, how there's more pressure in Italy, etc. He's semi-retirement mode for sure but still a good/top keeper and not MLS/China level.
