It's not fair to count injuries though imo, any guy playing as long as he has is almost bound to have some longer time off at some point.

Flip side - he's a goalkeeper. But Maldini, Zanetti, Totti (plus Costacurta) all played past 40, and he's just turned 39.

I'm not sure it helps much being a goalkeeper, imo the responsibility of a goalkeeper is higher than a LB (Maldini) or a RB (Zanetti) and a dip in form is very visible as soon as it happens.

they are self-contradictory, in one paragraph it says Milan are not exactly comparable to Juventus and Bayern Munich, yet in another one they compare Donnaruma with Buffon and Neuer based on saves per game lol
