The Golden Foot Award is an award for footballers based on sport perfomances/achievements and personality. You can only be nominated if you are older than 29 and still active as a footballer. This year was Buffon, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Cavani, Thiago Silva, Rooney, Casillas, Kaka, Lampard and Pirlo where nominated and you can only win this prize once. They always nominate 10 players, so next year most of this footballers will come back as contender.
