Il forte e promettente laterale Giandomenico Mesto è destinato a compiere un lungo viaggio, da Reggio Calabria a Torino, la rotta degli emigranti di una volta. Dopo che la Sampdoria si è ritirata dalla contesa avendo sopperito alle partenze di Tonetto e Diana con Franceschini e Bonanni, si profila un derby sotto la Mole per il giocatore valutato attorno ai 4 miliardi. (ROMA) - Juventus e Inter concorrono per il promettente esterno della Reggina Giandomenico Mesto. Secondo il Corriere dello Sport, le due società lo considerano un'investimento per il futuro. La Juve potrebbe essere costretta a sostituire Camoranesi, mentre l'Inter avrà bisogno di trovare un erede a Figo. Già a gennaio il Milan sarebbe stato vicino al reggino, poi si sono mosse prima l'Inter e poi la Juve che avrebbe cercato di strapparlo a Foti insieme al bomber Rolando Bianchi. Anche la Lazio sta seguendo da vicino il giocatore, possibile uno scambio con Pasquale Foggia, attualmente a Reggio Calabria in prestito.

Juve, Binter, Bilan and Lazio are interested in Giandomenico Mesto from Reggina. In January he was near to a move to Bilan. He could be the replacement for Camoranesi, but I have to admit I don't know that much about him besides his age(24)What do you think of him?How do you rate him?

I think Mesto is defender not a midfielder, so I can't see how he could replace Camoranesi.

Mesto will have a nice role for us, but he is still average and still a backup. The way I look at it is. If we are going to sign average players with some potential, let make sure they are Italian. That way we don't waste roster slots on non-italians and we keep Juventus national. He will fit in well, but is just a small peice of the puzzle.
