Why so much hate for Pazzini?

OK, hes not the BEST striker in the world but I think he's very under-rated by some people here. His goalscoring record the past two seasons has been very good.
He's young, Italian, we have an anti-Italian crew around here, so.. you do the math.

They'd call David Villa overrated if he were Italian, I bet you.

I don't think anyone here is saying that Pazzini is shit, the past few seasons can prove this as well. But I do believe there are better options than him out there.

Which I really don't understand.

There seem to be quite a few people who don't want us to buy any Italian players (for whatever reason). But at the same time we're criticizing Inter for playing with very little, if any, Italians. Go figure.

I guess I just don't understand the concept of an anti-Italian Juve fan. Just doesn't add up.

I don't like his one dimension game and I feel with the amount he would cost, we could get a more versatile striker. He does have smashing eyes though.
If the price is 15-20 mil,
I can't see us getting a better striker for 15-20 mil...
G.Rossi would be the same price range, but is he any better?i don't think so.
Dzeko would costs us around 30...i would prefer him but he's more expensive.

Who you had in mind,"more versatile" for that price?

I think we should wait and see how Mourinho rates Benzema first. At the end, he's not playing in WC, that could bring his price down a lil bit.

Err, idk. Some hungry young Frenchie from Ligue 1 where they shit out strikers these days. We're probably keeping Amauri, so a supporting striker like Lavezzi would be cool And of course, Cassano.

Benzema is on some sort of ridiculous wage at Real.

He would have to be willing to take a whopping pay cut to make him a remotely realistic target.

Therefore, I do not see the sense in spending half the summer hanging around waiting to maybe sign someone, who it probably isn't practical to sign.

Pazzini is a very good upgrade for us!.. I'd take him right away.. But not for 20 m€.. player plus cash would be good.. Almiron, DC, Palladino etc.... Just give them someone..

True. We have to convince him to reduce his salary. We always talk about signing a world class striker to finally increase the quality of the team, but in reality most world class strikers would request high wages, even Dzeko, with all clubs interested in him around europe, his requests will be a bit high.

I've seen stranger things in football, I don't think Benzema taking a pay cut is unimaginable. If the latest news are true, Mourinho will be looking to bring Torres or Milito to Madrid, with Higuain being irreplaceable, there's a big chance of Benzema leaving.

It's still a dream move that only Moggi-like deals could make into a reality.

Really? So why does his partner in Samp's attack gets so much love then? Cassano is Italian and only 2 years older than Pazzini.

I like it how some went on a counter-attack here and blame it all on hate for Italians.

People simply want the better players. The fact that there aren't many WC players in Italy at the moment, makes people choose a non-Italian when it's between a non-Italian and an Italian, simply because the foreigner is better.

Give them a possibility of signing Cassano or De Rossi and you will see how much they "hate" the Italians.

The problem isn't the so called "Anti-Italian crew". That crew is in the imagination of those who'd prefer Italians over anything else. The problem are some fanboys who will prefer an Italian even if the Italian is the inferior player.
Start a poll and ask who would people prefer between G.Rossi and Dzeko or van Persie and see how many votes will Rossi get. At least 1/3 of the votes.
Will it be because he's the better player?
But if there is a poll between Pazzini and an inferior non-Italian, all of those "Anti-Azzurri" will vote for Pazzini.

    Well said Alen,

Pazzini is an average player who would cost double what he's actually worth. If were throwing away 20 million it atleast should be on Cassano not this overhyped player.

And how do you know his 'actual' worth? The dude's a great goalscorer, has been on fire for the past 2 seasons, what more do you want?

In that case I want us to sign Di Natalie a player who is a fantastic finisher aswell as mobile, Pazzini is too static for my liking and we cannot afford that if were only playing with one one proper goalscorer next season.

Different kind of player, and sure, could have thought about him a few years earlier...he's 30+ now.

Di Natale is 32 years old, will be 33 later this year. Why would anyone want to sign him?
Age is not a factor when he's smashing in goals week in week out for a poor Udinese side.

I was just trying to make a point. Pazzini should stay in Samp because he's not good enough for a top club.
