I think Matri can play the main Cf role becuase look at him when he was playing in 2010-2011. He was always infront with Del Piero. Del Piero was always feeding him nice passes. I think with Giovinco playing as Del Piero's role Matri will have a 20 goal season.
@Dule90 I think conte likes cfs that dont move because he liked Borriello alot and Borriello was always standing in off sides positions or just falling down. Not even helping the team

Maybe. But you know what, Matri has done amazing when he joined Juve while Pazzini failed like a bitch at Inter.
If he has been as amazing as you say, then why should Juve even bother looking to upgrade the striker position?

I think that Conte is looking for the type of striker that doesn't need to be in the buildup of play, because Juve already had plenty of players like that last season, and with the adition of Gio this year, he has even more of those types of players.

What's wrong with Matri's numbers? He started 23 matches while in others he came from the bench but yet he scored 10 goals and had 4 assists. It's not bad at all and he was better than Pazzini this season. Last season he scored 20 goals for JUVE and not Sampdoria, he was very good. We're planning to change the two players for no reason whatsoever.
He did not score 20 goals for Juve last season. He has 19 goals in 49 matches total since he has joined.

I dont really like how Conte manages the forwards. I think its his system that doesnt allow the strikers to get their full potential. If you look at some games last season, some of the furthest man up the field were Midfielders. Its like midfielders make an over lapping run past the forwards

He scored 20 goals in his first season, and this season was better than Pazzini's. Why? Because he doesn't like poachers?

Why is Inter looking to get rid of Pazzini if he's so great?
Dear god, Dusan, he did not score 20 goals in his first season with Juve. He scored 20 goals total that year with Cagliari/Juve

It's because he has the midfielders to do it.

When you have two tirless box-to-box type midfielders like Vidal and Marchisio, you are certainly going to play to the strengths of thos types of players. And I think that if you look further, that is the reason why Conte prefers a striker who is more inclined to stay in the box or just outside of it, instead of trying to have the striker be a part of the buildup. Its not necessary in this system. juve have the players to do that, and iwth the additions of Isla and Asamoah, they have even more players that can do that.

Dusan, do you actually think that I am relishing the notion that Pazzini could be Juve's top striker acquisition?

That couldn't be farther from the truth. But the point is, in regards to a striker's main job, whcih is scoring goals, Pazzini has a better track record of it.

So why is Inter looking to sell Pazzini if he's so great?
oh for fuck sake. Why did Milan let Pirlo go? (not that I'm comparing the two, by the way). Good players in clubs can reach a point of no return when it comes to harmony. Pazzo is surplus now, just as Pirlo was in Milan.

In many ways we are jumping the gun with this move. Even if it happens, it's not going to be the marquee signing. I'm pretty darn sure, which then begs the question of, Pazzini coming in as a back up, is certainly not going to mean 20 goals a season, so why replace Matri in the first place. Given that this is 70 pct a depth signing, I'd just much rather stick with the player that's been at the club and understood our way of playing, rather than choose to go with somebody whose had a dip in form coming off an injury laden season. It's a like for like move as far as I'm concerned and totally unnecessary.

Thats why one of Matri/Quags will leave. I would prefer if Quags left

Regarding Pazzini's 5 goals last season against Matri's 10:

Who do you think would have had the better chance conversion rate?
