Bundesliga - Footballer collapses on pitch in Germany




A German second division match was interrupted when one of the players collapsed late in the game.

VfL Osnabrueck striker Flamur Kastrati fell to the ground unconscious after an apparently innocous clash with an opponent during the game against Energie Cottbus.
The match was delayed for around 12 minutes as the 19-year-old Norwegian was treated on the pitch and taken away by ambulance.
Reports of the match said that neither side made an attempt to score after the re-start, the two teams simply passing the ball from side to side instead.
Osnabruck said on their website that Kastrati was in a stable condition.
"An exact diagnosis is still to be taken, however it can be stated that Flamur Kastrati is not in a life-threatening condition," said the club.
Energie Cottbus won 2-0.

If you want Manchester's best player to get a serious injury do you hope that every team's best player gets a serious injury? I assume you want Juve's best player to get a serious injury too?

It isn't silly at all, there must be some reason why you want to see them relegated other than the fact they screwed up. If it's because of Dzeko or Diego, then I find that very silly.

they said the squad had some problems with him and that there were some financial irregularities.
but mainly his character which did not got along with the squad fans and management

I think he was a manager, not only coach, he's was the guy for everything so I guess they were pissed off because of some other stuff, not only because of poor Bundesliga campaign. Maybe he wanted bigger transfer kitty for the summer, or a new contract. Maybe they were not pleased with the signings... Have no idea really. Congrats to him on reaching 1/4 of CL, remarkable success, he deserves the credit. Really bad timing to sack the coach. Can't wait to see what's going to happen at the end of the season with their star players.

I get your point but they sacked him when they saw how shit they were performing, took them a bit longer but still and they came back to the coach that made them champions.

Juve however sticks with Delneri and dont even consider a replacement, when you can clearly see that the squad and coach aren't doing what it is supposed to do.

When they saw how shit they were performing? They sacked him when they were one point off the relegation zone and they were supposed to be challenging for the title! I don't see Delneri getting anywhere near that sort of protection.
