Perfect: Striker Arnautovic signs with Werder

Werder Bremen have named their first acquisition for next season as 21-year-old Marko Arnautovic arrives from Dutch champions FC Twente after having been on loan with Inter Milan. Arnautovic's time with the Green-Whites starts on 1 July 2010 and the Austrian international signed on a four-year contract until 30 June 2014. Manager Klaus Allofs made the announcement though conditions of the transfer were not disclosed.

Klaus Allofs was satisfied with the transfer. "We are happy that we could come to an agreement with FC Twente in some good talks. Marko Arnautovic has great potential. We believe he could have a good role in our team," said Allofs.

Head coach Thomas Schaaf also welcomed the acquisition. "Marko is a young, very talented striker, who has already gathered some good experience. We are certain that he is a sporting enrichment for us and we can continue to develop him," said the coach. Arnautovic, who will begin his work with Werder at the start of training on 5 July 2010, is looking forward to his time with Bremen. "Werder stands for very successful work with young players. I see a big chance here of making the next step in my career. I am ready for the start of training in a month," said the Vienna native.

Apparently, we paid between 6 and 7 million euro for him.

Anyone think Werder Bremen are a strong side? They've got players that are top class like Mertesacker, Naldo, Ozil, Almeida, Hunt, Boesnich, Wiese and frings.
