Nice article. But I actually think that there are enough good players at Schalke. Players like Ernst (great in Bremen, weak at Schalke), Kuranyi and Lincoln.
But they don't play as good as they could. I think the Bundesliga is still very attractive to good players and there are some, like Juan and Lucio from the Brazilian national team. But many clubs seem not to be able to bring out their whole quality. I don't know why, believe me or not, but I think that's a big part of the problem.

We don't have large amounts of money, but almost the whole German national team playing in Germany. It doesn't feel that good to praise my own club again, but the only teams who show that there is different way, a chance for German clubs in Europe, are Bayern (sometimes) and Werder.
ofcourse there is quality, however the demise of teams like Stuttgart,Leverkusan just shows the bad situation German football is in. They were title contenders a while back and now they r near the relegation zone.

Most clubs in Germany r being used as a stepping stone(sadly) except for Bayern and now Werder Bremen.

It's gone so far that I'm even surprised how good Bayern plays in this CL season. You haven't seen them winning so easily since I don't know when. And Hamburg, well the lost plenty of their good players like van Buyten to Bayern and Boulahrouz to Chelsea. Pretty much their own fault they suffer badly both in CL and Bundesliga.

I don't really watch or like the Bundesliga, but I guess Bayern Munchen will run by and win all the titles again for the third time in row. There biggest champion seems to be Werder Bremen, and all respect for them if they can beat them off, but that will be a hard job to do.

Btw, Bastian Schweinsteiger rocks! He have one of Europes best shots, and it seems to roll on for him. Forza

will be an interesting game between Nurenburg and Bremen. Bremen wouldn't want to drop points and Nurenburg a good side thats capabale of causing an upset

It´s not only Stuttgart and Leverkusen.

There are also Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund, Kaiserslautern.

I´ve been saying this for a while. This kind of teams rise and fall, but only Bayern and Werder remain at the top.

you seem to forget that Werder Bremen was a team like Borussia Dortmund , Hamburg, Schalke. They weren't a big team. They had their ups and downs just like every other team in Germany except Bayern ofcourse.

That is absolutely correct, but you should not forget to mention, that Werder is the 2nd best team in the history of the Bundesliga. (Hamburg 3rd, Dortmund 7th, Schalke 10th) The best team, far in lead, is of course Bayern.

As I said, it is absoulutely true Werder doesn't have a history as great as Bayern's. But we had and have our good times like f.e. 1988 - 1994 (2 German championships, 2 DFB-Cups, 1 Cup Winner's Cup).

And now we have some good times again and be sure we enjoy them.

1-2 At least we won. Nuremburg was strong though.
    The Goals:
    0-1 Frings '32
    0-2 Diego '79 (beautiful freekick)
    1-2 Banovic '93 (penalty)

Guess who is still leading :smoke:
