Btw, I should have known better than to watch season 5 of La Casa de Papel, but here we are.

Oh what a dumpster fire. Sadly this can happen when a show runs out of clever ideas and is left to continually try to top itself with more gunfire, screaming, and explosions instead of a plot.

Reminds me of when a friend gave me the movies Pi and Armageddon to watch. I said the first was all brains and no budget, and the second was all budget and no brains. La Casa de Papel has managed to become both in its seasonal story arch.

I totally agree, all the brilliance that was in the first season was ruined by the cheap muscle show of bullets and ammunition in these past episodes. I hope they salvage something by the remaining episodes.

Fourth and fifth become much worse.
I wonder how is that even possible.

 That was pretty true. It's like the show got all NFL woke in the past season.
Btw I really, really the show when it started. Season 1 had quite good ending and imo it was obvious it was the ending. However, when they saw the popularity they just wanted to milk the cow and, oh boy, did they milk it. I can't believe how many cringe scenes they added, it's unbelievable. I also liked the speech when he said "those that were rejected by the society, gays, trannies..." I was on the edge to throw up eventhough he included Balkans in those.

That Arturito fella was quite annoying at first but it was a perfect role for him. However, him entering the bank on his own to be a hero, getting his people, guns and becoming Rambo all of a sudden was so bad... so bad. But I guess that wasn't enough so they had to add not a woman but a pregnant woman who's smart, looks like a secretary for a 90s porn and has belly right under her nose, so even by having such a huge brain to negotiate and catch criminals, she forgot her due date.

I admire those writers. I don't think I'd be able to write worse stuff even for money.

Like you said about Arturito becoming Rambo all of a sudden, expect development on the same path.

My constant laugh this season in the show, when it's not all the screaming and gunfire, is how every 30-40 minutes or so there's a new scene of Spanish army vehicles racing down the streets headed toward the bank.

They never arrive at the bank. Nor do you ever see the vehicles ever pulling away from the bank.

But somehow, mysteriously, a new group of army vehicles suddenly appear at the staging area of the operation less then a kilometer from the bank and they start racing toward the bank ... only to later vanish into thin air.

Have anyone watched Squid games?

I stumbled on it on Netflix, it's a South Korean series, it's awesome, has great drama, and has almost perfect acting. I'm on the fourth or fifth episode (each one is almost 50mins) and while it has some cliches, it still has many unexpected turns and surprises.

I started it the other day, it looked promising

I watched 4 episodes, but since I'm starting a new job I can't find time to continue watching... IMDB and Totten Tomatoes score also looks promising. I just hope they stay on one season...
