Yeah I did, this series delivers to say the least. Moments like when they realized the identity of the invading special forces, nice twist.
Yeah, it looks like a nice series, but some stuff in it just gets on my nerves, like all the casting are really attractive, or how fucking stupid some of the conversations are, not to mention their timing. Can't wait for the third episode though.

Oh and don't how it will get all romantic some time into the season, at least that what I think will be. The producer is the same who did The Shield, but this one has too many pretty faces and romance written all over it. And those stupid dialogs.

Like they are about to face Delta forces, and they have time to talk in the middle of the kill zone about some non essential shit

Lol I am used to tv dialogue, but disagree about the romance bit and actors prettiness, the former is just one guy and his wife, bare minimum and the other is pretty standard stuff for networks. If you complain about this series on actors attractiveness then I it would be funny if you watch any Series made by CW lol.

Would have to agree with the Razzmatazz on this one - Last Resort has mainstream network show written all over it. Not that it's bad or anything but is nowhere near the level of shows one will find these days not just on HBO but AMC, Show, etc. with ease.
Dynamic and promising beginning and can keep the attention but can easily see it go out of steam within 10 episodes or so and either get cancelled by the end of the 1st season or linger on mostly due to the lack of better alternatives in ABC's usually rather vanilla line up.
Still, could well turn out to be a good show by the standards the big 4 networks have set ... don't think it would go above that though.

Last Resort has potential. Shawn Ryan is a sick twisted guy, just look at what he did in The Shield. I expect this show to explode soon. No pun intended.

It reminds a bit of Jericho though. Anyone remember Jericho?

people seem to overrate this show mostly because the producer also produced the Shield ... forgetting that since the Shield, Ryan has had a number of shows that went belly up within a season or less.

that was in a way my point too. And yes, I remember Jericho but mostly because I have a good memory :D

I don't care about the director doing the Shield before. Like Last Resort because it's good and entertaining.

I liked Jericho, but don't see much resemblance, I see more Jericho likeness in Revolution(apocalyptic) . Which I so far find between bland to lame.

actually, it's not the director but the producer of the Shield, which is even worse as it has little to no effect on the quality of the show ... yet people constantly mention it as if it has any bearing on whether last resort would be as good as the shield.

don't get me wrong - I think last resort is a good show but for ABC/CBS/FOX/NBC standards. Still, I honestly can't see how it could even be compared to what one would fined these days on HBO/SHOW/AMC/FX ... it's a totally different standard, imo. This being said, I have seen both episodes and plan to continue watching it.

As for jericho, I think Melo mentioned it as an example of a show that started out great but bottomed out pretty quickly ... not because it was thematically similar to last resort.

Yeah waiting for it, It will be my token CW series/guilty pleasure of coming year, wonder if it will be as teen cheesy as most of their series tend to have elements of.
