I liked it sporadically, then it got slow and couldnt be bothered to watch monthly anymore (used to save 3-4 eps then watch), thats the problem procedural shows, just another victim/case and the overall niche and charm of it gets lost after a while, watched til episode 10 I think. These major networks expect shows like these to carry them in prime times, and if they dont they just are brutal.

At least this had a new idea . Shitty CSI shows have been going on for much longer and they still continue to make more spin-offs every couple of years

Yeah but its a proven popular big money concept that americans will allways tune in for just for the CSI tag, uncreative and lame, but it works for the networks bussiness. But these unique unusual leading character with a twist/genius cop shows, besides Mentalist and Castle, dont tend to go for long. I dont count the new Sherlock Holmes show because its frigging Sherlock Holmes in america.

Either way, cop shows in general get boring quick for me (even with awesome leads, its just same ol same too much), the one I like the most right now is BattleCreek, but prolly will tire of it when its newness aura fades away a bit.

I watched 4 episodes and dunno what to make out of it. I think it's cool their primary focus isn't on a super hero but lawyer/dialog/mafia etc. Oh and Charlie Cox is making it to the top, he's probably gonna be in every movie that comes out soon enough.

Oh and True Detective  watch it asap.
You cant make anything out of it until you finish it. Its a 5 hour documentary that is sliced up for marketing purposes.

Why are you suprised? These procedural unique amateur detective cop shows dont last long.
Castle for example lives off its great chemistry between characters. A perfect example of a show that is more than the sum of its parts  Something that many cancelled "procedural unique" cop shows don't bother establishing.

Yep, excellent cast even if I stopped 2 seasons in, still just a cop show. Most key of all, it has Nathan Fillion  not everyone can be that lucky to have such a naturally all around great dude :touched:

If you read Max Punisher, by Garth Ennis, you will know how absolutely dark it will be if they properly adapt it to that version of the Punisher. Totally gritty and raw. The grim reaper of mobsters...

Now I'm only waiting for them to adapt a crime noir graphic novel called 100 Bullits, that would be just too sick for me.

I know of it but no, never read. I stopped buying comics looong before that series came out.

Last one i remember buying was the War Zone series. Early 90's.
