have never watched a single show with subtitles, never needed them tbh. It's weird that native english speakers would need them.

Yeah I know there are probably many accents, but still strange. I can even understand Jammie Carragher speaking without subtitles

I thought about the equivalent of Gomorra needing Italian subtitles for English, and I thought a show like True Detective would be the best example.

I'm a sucka and have been watching it since the beginning. The show is more a time-filler... pretty meh. It's like a poorer man's version of Walking Dead, just replace zombies with aliens.

I think it has to be your style of show to get into it.

I'm on s02 e02 of Utopia and I gotta say it's brilliant, I love it.

Finally finished season 2 of Utopia. I feel like it's running out of steam. The mystery is gone, and many of the characters, especially Ian and Becky, are beginning to bore me. With the exception of Wilson Wilson, I really don't see how they are going to develop the characters any further.

Hope this isn't too late . My advise don't watch it , by fourth season it becomes total bullshit . First season and second were interesting , third was meh , fourth is a total mess . Seriously some total unbelivable shit happens , unbelivable even by alien standards . Plus by third season everything that happens is unoriginal . I will watch fifth seson just to see how it ends .

Watched the first few episodes of It's Always Sunny today though. Gotta say it's somehow really entertaining.

I did, it was decent. Better then I expected, but thats because I thought it would be made by the teen tv series channel CW that tend to do comic series (smallville, Arrow, flash) so expected lower budget level then it was, but its a Fox series and it kind of showed with the visual depiction of the city Gotham, was nice to take in. Mob related stuff, if they continue to focus on it, should be decent, but the super villains as youngsters thing is lame, with Bruce Wayne being 10 years old etc.

Pretty much sums it up . I totally agree on the city of gotham , also Bruce wayne is 10 and he already feels like batman from the first episode , they should go more slowly on that regard .

Watched the first season of The Leftovers today . I generally liked it , the first half of the season was better imo . I really like shows that make me hate certain characters and I fucking hate everyone from that freaking cult .

I watch the last 3 (strike back seems lame), so can't wait either.

And yeah falling skies becomes extremely bad, and I'm someone who is very forgiving to Sci fi (and supernatural or comic based) series. Liked the apocalyptic survivalist story, and first two seasons is OK, but then it becomes so lazy and completely pointless.
