Hard to lose when it's free. :D

Btw, I'm starting to feel that reading might not be the best way for me to enhance my knowledge right now. I've always found videos to be easier to focus on and learn from. Since this course I'm taking has video lectures, I think I'll find it more productive than reading a book.

Could be. Reading philosophy is generally hard if you read the actual works, it takes a certain amount (ie. a lot) of background reading. Listening to/watching lectures can be very interesting though. I'd also recommend a history of philosophy kind of book if you haven't tried one before, to get some idea of what was when.

The book I started reading about intro to philosophy touched on that subject briefly. I'll see if I can find something more about it.

God is not known by adding up empirical facts or by information that comes to us from our physical senses (at least not at first). There has never been a world religion that has ever claimed this.

So the superposition of all observable facts != God?

    Man, what a ripoff...

Linebreak I agree but to people who need that evidence it is because they can not live outside those lines nor do they comprehend that those lines can be transcended

Not exactly buddy. I for one accept supernatural possibility but expect natural proof. Once God satisfies me I'll go back to being a good catholic and finally sort that thing with the Gunpowder and Houses of Parliament.

Oh he's waving, alright. We just can't see it.
His signs are all around us - from our cells to the galaxies.

You should thank him for your good health. Ingratitude is the worst of states.
